We start this new thread on a brighter note: the mid-terms were a win for the Democrats, securing the House of Representatives and further seats in the Senate. This means more scrutiny for POTUS and the GOP, and bargaining power.

chicken take it from me, don't try to engage die-hard Scrotus fanatics. There is really no point. They're either too ignorant, too stubborn, or too brainwashed to listen to the truth. You may as well try to explain theoretical physics to a tantrumming 2 year old.

The best thing you can do it get involved in your own country's politics. Educate yourself on issues and work for candidates and policies you believe in. You can't do anything about what's going on here, but you can make sure it doesn't happen in the UK. And believe it or not, we here get strength and encouragement from seeing people fighting for decency and equality in their own Countries. We here may have gotten off track for now, but it helps us to know that we can and will get back to normal eventually.
