Had a really busy monday and have managed to get myself locked out of home potentially until quite late. I've just had to go to costa oh the hardship! How's your day been?

If you have a good book as well that would be a perfect afternoon!

I’ve been up since 6:30 working from home so I’ve got a bit of cabin fever now! Thinking I wrap up warm and go for a chilly nighttime walk once DP Gets home!

Justanotheruser01 · 05/11/2018 16:43

No book but i have mumsnet (even better!)
Oh i love a nice chilly walk of an evenin.

My Monday was fine until my daughter texted 2 photographs of the very handsome/very gorgeous Levison Wood doing a book signing in Edinburgh today. Apparently he's even hotter in RL, and, he's really nice Envy

Mulberry72 · 05/11/2018 16:53

I’ve been for my first session of Phototherapy at the hospital in the hope it will start to clear my Psoriasis.

Afterwards I went to Costa for a Praline Hot Chocolate and a biscuit. It was lovely!

Justanotheruser01 · 05/11/2018 16:53

Well, that's certainly a nice sight.. just had to go Google him!

I had to get a tooth surgically removed so I'm feeling sorry for myself. I also didn't eat any breakfast so I've had nothing to eat today and wont be able to till probably 9pm.

Feeling sad.

Justanotheruser01 · 05/11/2018 17:05

@mulberry72 I suffer from psoriasis it's awful. Hope it goes well for you

Started off very well with discovery of roadworks that had blighted my morning drive for months had finished ! Some other ones, popped up like mushrooms, at other points but hooray for small mercies. Got to the car park nice and early, as a result,so had pick of car parking spaces 😀 DH has prepped supper which is baking away in oven. And the light has been so pretty today .

Otterseatpuffinsdontthey · 05/11/2018 17:07

He certainly is! Suspect he had my Christmas present in his hand Grin

BendydickCuminsnatch · 05/11/2018 17:10

Ooh OP, very positive of you! Enjoy cosy costa.

Our Monday has been fabulous despite a clingy baby (1 tomorrow, woo!):
All slept OK
Gym/Creche session
Both kids to dentist and one was terrified but left reassured I hope!!! Didn’t expect that.
Lovely nap time spending time with eldest while little one slept.
Soft play and park with 2 friends
Home for pizza now!
Just a regular day really but everyone behaved very well which makes things so much more lovely.

Mulberry72 · 05/11/2018 17:11

Justanotheruser01 Thank you Smile

It’s awful, I’ve waited 18 months to see a Dermatologist, but I have to say they’ve been brilliant with me, prescribed me some great treatments so hopefully combined with the Phototherapy I’ll be able to get pretty clear.

TheWickedWitchofWestYorkshire · 05/11/2018 17:18

My children are on an inset day and dh is off work as well so we've had a lazy day at home doing not much. I've been taking photos of mince pies and of course we had to eat them afterwards! I am looking forward to tomorrow though because this half term has been very long and boring!

puzzledlady · 05/11/2018 17:21

Mine has been awful. :( nanny called in sick for the 20th time this year and has just called in sick for tomorrow. I have to take an emergency leave day which will now flag up on my work system which means I’ll have to see HR. On top of that - my grandmother is dying and the chances of me seeing her before she goes is very slim (dofferebt continents)

Otterseatpuffinsdontthey · 05/11/2018 17:28

Flowers for everyone having a "rubbishy" day Flowers

MabelFurball · 05/11/2018 17:40

@puzzledlady Sounds like your nanny's sickness needs to flag up on your system!

Spankyoumuchly · 05/11/2018 17:42

I woke up with awful anxiety. Swam for 45 minutes. Did housework jobs and school run. When I took the dog for a walk he didn't roll in disgusting stuff. But I bumped into another dog walker who was pregnant with her first child. It made me sad remembering when I was excited with the hope of what our first child would be. He's got additional needs and we're going through a very difficult time with him for three + years. I can't work because he can't be left. And I'm just exhausted. We have no support from family and I'm just so worried about his future. I just can't see it being any better. I love him, in case reading this makes me sound like an arsehole. I work so hard for him. When I got home I found our terminally ill cat has pooed under the kitchen table. There's a huge puddle of water/poo juice as well. The water was where he pushed his water off the table. I have ocd. We haven't had him long and it's so unfair that he's got cancer. Then the other ds, came to tell me he peed his pants a little bit. He's 11. Dh said he'd clean up. I had to clean the most awful diarrhoea splat up the wall on the floor on Friday under the table. Must have been the ill cat. We have three.

BentNeckLady · 05/11/2018 17:44

I’ve had the day off and have spent it playing Red Dead Redemption 2. It’s been fabulous.

Didsomeonesaybunny · 05/11/2018 17:46

I’ve had a very lovely day today. My DD and I went to a lovely bookstore and then we met my DP for lunch at a quaint little cafe in Mayfair. We went to the park to feed the ducks and we are now at home with the fire burning. I’m making dinner and waiting for my DP to come home from work. Tomorrow we are travelling back to Wales sad face

Soiree · 05/11/2018 17:47

Great, baby stayed asleep until 8am! We went to music bugs, met my partner for lunch. She napped while I had a bubble bath and now we're off to the fireworks.

Good mat leave day, they're not all like this!

stegosauruslady · 05/11/2018 17:53

Mostly good. Spent the day continuing to declutter, then put together the drawers to finish the new baby's changing unit. However, the instructions were wrong (which was odd, but I have now had a couple of different people look at them and I wasn't wrong!) on how to attach the runners into the unit so I had to figure it out, which was a pain. I'm pretty happy now that all of the baby clothes are in it though!

DDs (there are three of them) came home from school all in good moods and are now eating sweet potato soup and naan breads for dinner. DP will be home later to spend the evening cuddling me.

I'm going to spend the evening sewing in ends and adding buttons to some of the things I have knitted for the baby while watching TV.

puzzledlady · 05/11/2018 17:53

Yeah she’s leaving soon but still - it will continue to impact us until she does.... sorry to everyone else having awful days and to those having good ones - send some good luck over! :)

Justanotheruser01 · 05/11/2018 17:54

@mulberry72 mine sounds quite minor to yours just on my scalp and elbows sounds like you get a rough ride with it. Too outting to ask where you suffer?

@puzzledlady that's so sad have some rather unmumsnetlike hugs!

Sorry everybody is having a bit of a rubbish time of it.

Finally home - yay. Got the dog very unhappy again tonight because of the fireworks!

Awesome! DH got his promotion made permanent at work, my appointment was cancelled so I’ve been able to work from home and get loads done. Having steak and sweet potato fries to celebrate and even having a sneaky gin 😊

moonlight1705 · 05/11/2018 18:07

I didn't faint when I had my flu and whooping cough jabs this morning.....a major improvement on all other injections.

Volunteered at a Cathedral archive today so got to look at some fab medieval manuscripts.
