Blooming awful.

I had to take my dear old octogenarian dad to a hospital appointment and it really hit home that he's old and vulnerable and not really long for this world.

Then I took my dogs for what was supposed to be a relaxing walk in the woods. Unfortunately we acquired a lost dog that took what can only be described as 'a shine' to my big daft labradoodle boy and proceeded to shag him mercilessly for three miles. Poor lad's traumatised.

Then I got home to discover the house was an absolute shit tip, and instead of relaxing with a cup of tea I had to set about cleaning up after the two other adults I live with. DP got an ear bashing and I had a cry.

None of this was helped by the fact I'm in the middle of citalopram withdrawal and have my period.

I'm now in the bath with a gin and tonic while DP makes my dinner.

What a day.

Justanotheruser01 Mine is all up my back, scalp, arms and a few patches on my forehead, luckily my hair covers that though.

I have the Arthritis that goes with it too, but until 18 months ago I only had a tiny patch of Psoriasis, it’s flared up so badly but hopefully the treatment will get it sorted.

PumpkinPie2016 · 05/11/2018 18:15

Cake and Flowers for those who have had/are having rubbish days.

Mine has actually been good - back at work after the half term break (teacher) but had some nice lessons with my classes and although I have a big to do list (as always!) I am feeling positive. Got a nice compliment from the head as well about something I have done so that was nice.

My DS had a nice first day back at school too.

So all in all, been a good day!

topcat2014 · 05/11/2018 18:15

We are off to the pub whilst DD is at scouts - she will be out hiking, and it takes half an hour to get there - so no point in coming back.

I bet the pub has a fire on too :)

DeadZed · 05/11/2018 18:24

I have been to the funeral directors today to make arrangements for my sadly missed DH. I have spent the day sobbing and now my head hurts and my stomach aches too.
I have however been astounded by the kindness of friends who are continuing to hold me up and look after me and the dcs.

Knittedfrog · 05/11/2018 18:28

Awful, in fact so bad I've come to bed without eating. Work (nhs) trying to change my shifts but screwing me over with both options I've been given.

bringbackthestripes · 05/11/2018 18:31

Awful. My first appointment of the day made me cry and I have arranged a meeting tomorrow with my manager, to have a difficult conversation, which means I am going to be awake all night worrying about it.

hollytom · 05/11/2018 18:33

Sorry to those who are having a bad time.
Very happy Monday here got my job offer confirmed leaving to start a new career.

Katinkka · 05/11/2018 18:34

My cat died this morning.

Mummaluelae · 05/11/2018 18:35

managed 25mins of cardio this morning before DC woke up. Got the paint out and got them doing some lovely pictures. Cheese toasties for lunch - total comfort food.
Dd down for nap and an hour of aerobics done (as usual) and built Lego with D's afterwards. Long day waiting for do though! He's still not back and we've all eaten

Justanotheruser01 · 05/11/2018 18:38

I've had a terrible day. Everything I have touched has turned to shit. I've been really busy and productive but everything has not quite been right. It's kids birthdays tomorrow. Their presents which I wrapped today look shit and the paper ripped. I'm in at work tomorrow late notice, haven't made their cakes, won't be able to do shopping so it will be delivered late tomorrow, I've failed to arrange for DS to be collected from school, kids all acting up, house a shit tip, no wine in the house. I'm sure there's more, the whole day has been disappointing and draining. Just limping on until bedtime then I can cook tea for my and DH and clean the kitchen. No idea what time he'll get home, but I'll either sprint past him on my way to the offie or be in bed.

DeadZed · 05/11/2018 18:46

Thank you just

I can wait to get into bed and hide, but first I need to get through the evening with the DC's. ( Not that they're bad, but we are all so distressed. )

yorkshirepud44 · 05/11/2018 18:48

So sorry for all of you who are struggling.

Thanks
Justanotheruser01 · 05/11/2018 18:50

@DeadZed sending you extra strength for this evening

EnglishRose13 · 05/11/2018 18:57

Awful.

Back to work after a lovely week off with my boys and the first thing I did was smash my mug which my friend had made especially.

Honestly could have cried!

emma2939 · 05/11/2018 19:05

@DeadZed so sorry for your loss, sending you and your family strength to get through this difficult time xx

Juanbablo · 05/11/2018 19:14

Monday has been pretty crap. Ds2 pulled the towel rail out of the bathroom wall. Ds1 has been really rude. Ds2 broke 2 platters by accident. Dh has been horrible. Monday can fuck off.

FrangelicoCandyBoughs · 05/11/2018 19:17

Pretty crap!. My first day back at work after a week off, nobody had filled out any paperwork and was all left down to me. Got home late due to traffic and then DH wanted to take the kids to a bonfire. Currently sat watching the fire, almost 8 months pregnant and absoloutley knackered. Just want to get home, have a bath and go to bed

Madbengalmum · 05/11/2018 19:19

Pretty crap, two out of my three patients for the day didn't show up! Argggggghhhhh!

Furrydogmum · 05/11/2018 19:24

Fabulous! Dh has just baked a parkin - his first - it is absolutely perfect and I'm sat on the sofa eating it 😁
Downside I need to start learning diy to redress the balance 😐
Also sat on the sofa comforting the dogs who are heartily fed up of the fireworks 4 days in 😠 they quite like the crumbs though..

moolady1977 · 05/11/2018 19:27

Had a rotten day starting with missing my bus to work so got there late which meant finishing late so had to wait an hour for my bus to get home, work was just awful nothing went right and to top it all off my dps ex wife is now faffing about with weekends we see the dsd because she wants her for her birthday, I'm now going to breathe have a hot drink and go have a long soak in the bath if the bloody neighbours downstairs have stopped aiming fireworks at our windows

Furrydogmum · 05/11/2018 19:27

@Katinkka I'm so sorry for your loss xx

Furrydogmum · 05/11/2018 19:33

@Deadzed so sorry, I replied lightheartedly before reading all replies. I'm so glad you have good friends helping you through a time I can't even imagine. Love to you and your dc's xx
