Seizure of the US embassy in South Korea demanded. The demand arises from a conservative source and may not be supported by the South Korean government, however. This article appeared on KCNA, a North Korean news site known to sow discord between South Korea and the US (and between the two Koreas).
S. Korea: Seizure of U.S. Embassy Demanded
Pyongyang, October 30 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the People's Party of south Korea in a commentary on Oct. 25 called for seizing the U.S. embassy in Seoul, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Jaju Sibo.
He accused the U.S. of having not paid the rent for its embassy in Seoul for 40 years.
Noting south Korea is paying a huge amount of money for its buildings in the U.S., he termed the U.S. behavior international gangsterism.
The U.S. should make an apology for it and pay the rent in arrears, he held. -0-
