To have picked up a spliff in the playpark

Took DD to the park this morning - first thing she wanted to go on was the basket swing thing. I saw a very large spliff in the basket so popped it into my pocket before lifting her into it. Then I noticed two youngish men with a little girl - the men were walking around obviously looking for something 😂😂😂. One of them gave me a few sideways looks, but it’s not like they could come up to middle-aged mumsy me to ask if I’d picked up their spliff. Twats.

What exactly are you going to do with it , yes weed is illegal, but its not up to you to police other people's behaviour

Had they already had some? If so that's quite gross - it's been in a strangers mouth! Also how can you be sure what's in there? Putting things you find in the park in your mouth is generally a bad idea!

For God's sake don't smoke it, you have no idea what's in it! Chuck it ASAP.... Fair enough to get rid of it from any public place, let alone a playground. Am not 'against' weed, BTW, just wouldn't touch anything if I didn't know the source.

I assume the OP picked it up so that a child didn't, not that she got lucky and is going to have a smoke later.

The issue is not adults using cannabis, it is the appropriateness of using cannabis in a children's playground and leaving the detritus for others to clean up. You wouldn't drink a half a bottle of wine and then leave the remainder on the swing would you?

OP, my dp saw someone drop a small bag of weed at the petrol station the other day. Naughty man he picked it up and kept it.
