Listening to Jonathan Swan earlier expressing his frustration about not currently being able to get a handle on the there there of Haley's timing of the announcement of her exit. There must be more going on than meets the eye (isn't there always in Trumpistan?). The performance of the announcement was unusual, so maybe Haley had some leverage to get that little love-in before the cameras. Or maybe Stinky had a motive for setting up that scenario.
I would give some credence to the suggestions that she wants to stuff her bank account while the getting is good; that she is getting out before the midterms and the maelstrom that could follow; she is trying to distance herself before Mueler's report hits; and sees opportunities to further burnish her profile for a 2024 presidential run.
But that sense that a shoe is poised to drop remains.

Reminded by a Nicholle Wallace guest that Javanka, Haley and Dina Powell are chums. Haley's ridiculous assertions about the golden couple were aimed at sweetening the Stinker to Powell succeeding her at the UN. I don't know what Bolton and Pompeo's views would be, but word is Haley felt her wings clipped by them, after Mr 'Lazy Faire' Tillerson.

Of course not, nepotism aside - if the Stinker thought he could get away with it, he would. For my tuppence worth, Haley won't primary the Stinker unless his grip on the GOP and Cult 45 drastically diminishes. If something catastrophic so severely wounded his presidency that his support was badly weakened, he would be unlikely to seek another term, surely? She might have a go at 2020 if Pence becomes the incumbent during the next two years or it Stinky doesn't seek another term. Even so, I think her focus, for now, is 2024. She will only be 52 then, and she could make a lot of money in six years.
