Its never the Kaiser chiefs, its always blardy dance music, bad 90's pop, or for some reason, 'red red wine' fgs...

Come and live next door to me and I will play nothing but XFM-friendly music
Am still feeling vaguely smug after last-night's DJ-ing to very appreciative teenagers who lurrrrved my old punk classics...

GlassSlipper · 09/06/2007 20:42

yes dmo, i could cope with that.

I had the Beatles today but not sure my neighbours were impressed with that either tbh.

HonorMatopoeia · 09/06/2007 20:42

we're being treated to Michael Buble round here of late, I have nothing against him but not played at jet plane level - doesn't seem in the spirit of swing!!

kittylette · 09/06/2007 20:42

i play the distillers, fall out boy and maybeee a bit of gwen steffani ...

can i move next door?

sniff · 09/06/2007 20:42

red hot chilis would be great for me but then so would 80s rock

Our neighbours have played reggae all day switching half way through tracks etc when they did have some great old school dance on my bro said oh this is told him he obv aint old enough to appreciate it then.
Must say have right mix on my ipod

sweetjane · 09/06/2007 20:51

Someone on our street had a party last night until about half 4 playing some bizarre dancehall/ragga sounding crap.

And don't talk to me about the Kaiser Chiefs - was at school with them and they are t*ssers.

[grumpy emoticon from lack of sleep]...

Dabbles · 09/06/2007 20:55

tossers?

omg?
but but but. lyrical geniuses ... "car keys.. to a car" "argument about the rent..." etc ettccccc

Sorry Dabbles, to me they will always be "the annoying boys I sat next to in registration"... and besides, Nick Hodgson's Dad drove a Rolls Royce. Not very rock n roll. And they're not even from Leeds. They're from Menston. That's like saying you come from Manchester when you live in rural Cheshire.

Clearly I am just jealous as I hsve a far from rock n roll existence myself...

anchovies · 09/06/2007 21:31

I have had "techno techno techno" from the teenagers next door since the first sign of sun. Was amusing for about 5 minutes while we relived some illegal raves of 10 years ago and did some crazy dancing for the kids but after that just very irritating!

allgonebellyup · 09/06/2007 21:33

oh god yes, why is it always "red red wine"?

just dont get it.

RIELOVESBACARDI · 09/06/2007 21:33

i spent last sat playing johnny cash all day bet my neigbours love me haha

southeastastra · 09/06/2007 21:35

i don't mind any type of neighbourhood music, it proves people are alive!

round here it's quiet (unless we put music on). when we lived in london it was great, always noisy and the people opposite played poker all night.

expatinscotland · 09/06/2007 21:37

I fucking hate listening to other peoples' music.

That's so goddamned discourteous.

If you want to blast it, move to the countryside.

Otherwise, STFU.

Poeple who blast it usually play shit and have chav tendancies.

Dabbles · 09/06/2007 22:29

expat - i think i secrtly worship u!

ScottishMummy · 09/06/2007 22:35

LOL isn't that that way the inverse relationship between volume of music played to the quality of content

southeastastra · 09/06/2007 22:36

i guess it depends on what they play

Dabbles · 09/06/2007 22:44
