Trying to have a relaxing bath dh said he would wait until I went in the bath and go and do the dishes fair enough but I'm up here trying to chill and he's down there fucking banging dishes around making a right racket whilst he does them it's so loud I literally want to run down staires and throttle him he's woke dd up aswell so that's fucking fabulous. Wouldn't of minded I actually wanted to do them today because I bleached my kitchen sink today and I know he would of messed it up again but he insisted he was going them. Fucking do them quietly then you knob!

HairyLegs11 · 11/09/2018 21:11

Text him to keep the noise down.

Spanglylycra · 11/09/2018 21:12

LTB

Agentornika · 11/09/2018 21:12

Wow, I'm feeling a bit sorry for your husband right now

Duchessgummybuns · 11/09/2018 21:12

Earbuds? Tbh I’d be happy he was doing the dishes so I didn’t have to.

Boyicantwait2beamumagain · 11/09/2018 21:12

Tmi I know but we planned some sex tonight and now I'm just not sure I want to because the racket of those fucking dishes has really irritated me to the point I know it's irrational 😂 this is a lighthearted just but the feeling like I dont want sex is very real. God that just made me so mad!

I would of sent him a text but his phone is off as I say it is lighthearted and I love him immensely he's a wonderful dh but the noise was do grating went on for about 15 mins aswell at first I thought it was dd kicking the side of her bed!

FlyingElbows · 11/09/2018 21:15

peachypetite · 11/09/2018 21:15

MarthasGinYard · 11/09/2018 21:16

Oh

Tinkofhousepan · 11/09/2018 21:17

I'd love my dp to do any dishes however noisily. YABU! Life's too short to get so irate over this

mangowango · 11/09/2018 21:19

What a prick. You should LTB

Boyicantwait2beamumagain · 11/09/2018 21:19

Ahhh I'd love a dish washer! Our kitchen is way too small even for a slimline one sadly!

No drip feed just feeling very pregnant and hot and flustered today been like this all day can't seem to shake it! I accidently yanked my own hair with a hair brush earlier and just felt pure rage god what a mess I am! Don't know why i feel so off not my usual self at all!

OP posts:
Move2WY · 11/09/2018 21:21

No drip feed. Oh I’m pregnant.

AspieHere · 11/09/2018 21:21

It's ok OP, it's clear this was lighthearted, despite the fun sponges turning up.

I'd have gone for the throttling. No need for ridiculous amounts of noise whilst doing a simple household job!

Powerbunting · 11/09/2018 21:22

Listen to yourself.

He is doing the dishes whilst you have a bath. This is not a silent activity.

Settle your daughter or ask him to do it. Sink your head under the water. Relax, float, then forgive him for inadvertently waking your daughter. Then take each other to bed. The sink can be bleached again in the morning. Your daughter can go black to sleep.

Stop riling your self up over nothing

SevenAndEighteen · 11/09/2018 21:24
Smile
Ameliarose16 · 11/09/2018 21:26

I agree with you- when my husband says hel clean I get so agitated with the noise he makes id rather just do it myself! Or I'd rather him do it- silently...

Boyicantwait2beamumagain · 11/09/2018 21:28

Move it's not a drip feed it's a fact haha!!

Can't throttle him he's much bigger then me he would genuinely piss himself if I came charging at him Grin I think I'd crack up too!

I'm not trying to bait anyone up but why is everyone so confetti everywhere for dh doing the dishes course he is going the dishes he's a grown man and he ate that food too we take turns! Tonight was his take over night as we call it where he does dd bath, gets her ready for bed does the story and tidys front room ready for the evening. Nothing wrong or unusual about that shouldn't be left all to one person at all we all deserve that!

I get it. You're all set for a lovely relaxing bath, candles, bubbles and all, then someone starts doing noisy housework and ruins it. My baths are pretty much my only time to relax and I hate it when dh starts clattering around. I don't tell him that though Smile

Gemini69 · 11/09/2018 21:30

He didn't really want to do the dishes.. you know this right... Hmm the clattering and banging around waking up DD is his way is showing everyone he really doesn't want to be doing the bloody dishes...

Ignore him.... don't react Flowers

LEELULUMPKIN · 11/09/2018 21:31

Can you do a big fart in the bath? You can really hear it in our kitchen when someone lets one go whilst having a soak. That should kill any sexy talk.

BastardGoDarkly · 11/09/2018 21:34

Yeah, I don't understand the... I'd just be grateful. .. posts either op.

Dhs hoovering style winds me up, he's so "rammy " and drags poor hetty so fast she either bashes into doorframes, or falls over Angry (not pregnant, just ratty)

Hope dds gone back off, and you can relax op.

LampHat · 11/09/2018 21:36

”why is everyone so confetti everywhere...”

I love that phrase and will adopt it. Thanks OP! Enjoy your bath.

Ironmanrocks · 11/09/2018 21:38

My other half stomps. I mean STOMPS around the house. If I mention it he thinks I am being unreasonable as he obviously tiptoes like a mouse. He is an ELEPHANT (and he's quite slight, I have no idea how he manages it!!) It often gives me a bit of rage!!! He also hoovers but doesn't bother hoovering under the sofas so the minute theres a breeze it looks like he hasn't done anything. Men - not all men - but some I SWEAR do housework badly on purpose. I feel your pain OP.xx
