Trying to have a relaxing bath dh said he would wait until I went in the bath and go and do the dishes fair enough but I'm up here trying to chill and he's down there fucking banging dishes around making a right racket whilst he does them it's so loud I literally want to run down staires and throttle him he's woke dd up aswell so that's fucking fabulous. Wouldn't of minded I actually wanted to do them today because I bleached my kitchen sink today and I know he would of messed it up again but he insisted he was going them. Fucking do them quietly then you knob!

YABU looking forward to a bath, sweaty puddles of filth to lie in getting bored. I'd rather do the washing up

Boyicantwait2beamumagain · 11/09/2018 22:53

As another pp said... fun sponges! Grin

what is "...would of..." ?

Apart from that - get a dishwasher!

Boyicantwait2beamumagain · 11/09/2018 22:56

Why it's not like I'm dirty or anything?

Haha don't complain or he won't do them again?! Lol and I can make a few things I won't do again if he doesn't. Wink

on Saturday I’d spent 30 mins getting baby to sleep. Handed him to DH and got into a bath. 2 mins later he was screaming and DH failed to settle him or keep him quiet (or shut the doors!) so that bath was ruined.

*Fuck's sake

RabbitsAreTasty · 11/09/2018 23:03

Headphones in the bath or while having a little lie down is the best. Used to be excellent for when DH was putting the DC to bed with maximum squealing and thundering around while I rested my bump.

Iwant2breakfree · 11/09/2018 23:04

I feel u when i was heavily pregnant dh said ok ill watch kids while u have a bath. Toilet training ds at the time. I litterally just sat down in the bath and dh started screaming and banging om the door saying ds shit on the carpet. He chucks a massive tanty when he has to clean up shit so i got out and cleaned it. Naked and pregnant

DebbysMum · 11/09/2018 23:06

My husband gets annoyed at how 'loudly' I put away the dishes. What the fuck ever.

FastWindow · 11/09/2018 23:07

aspie fun sponge Grin

rose69 · 11/09/2018 23:07

Watch a box set and have a spa day

SirB0bby · 11/09/2018 23:09

I feel your pain. When my DH empties the dishwasher and puts the cutlery away, it sounds as though he opens the drawer and lobs it all in from the other side of the kitchen. It used to set the Dog off too!

Iwant2breakfree

I’m sorry but that made me laugh!!!

JustJoinedRightNow · 11/09/2018 23:22

I feel your pain OP. Our house is the same, we both do it all equally and I loved your comment about it he wants waiting on he can go back and live with his Mum!!

Also, how rude are some people being about your grammar? Far out. You’re taking it all in your stride though OP, bravo.

FastWindow · 11/09/2018 23:27

justjoined I'm going to guess you're Strayan. Love the vernacular.

Boyicantwait2beamumagain · 12/09/2018 00:05

Justjoined thanks for the message. Thats exactly how it should be and when dd is old enough she will be put to work too! Not during mummys bath time though!

Ah I find it almost impossible to get upset over a strangers comment online just makes for interesting reading and gives a real insight into what these people's lives must be like.. don't you think? Poor souls.

I laugh at the irony of some posters being offended at a bath because you stew in your own juices but feel it’s fine to worship at the altar of mooncups!

Glad it’s not just me who gets the rage, I don’t even have the excuse of being pregnant.....

tigercub50 · 12/09/2018 00:57

Wondered if someone would correct “ would of”

MrsJonSno · 12/09/2018 01:00

I once came home after working all day, I was shattered, got soaked in the rain, had collected DD from Nursery and been on a broken down bus. Got in and my (EX) DP hadn’t even started dinner for he kids. He turned to me and said “but I hoovered the stairs for you!!” with big wide eyes like a puppy who wants a pat on the head. For me? You hoovered the fucking stairs for me? Twat.

Gersemi · 12/09/2018 01:18

would of
has woken
as well

HTH

Basta, if you must correct grammar, you need to get it right. "Would of" is diabolical, it's "would have", FFS.

notangelinajolie · 12/09/2018 01:23

I'm with you OP. I know exactly the sound you mean. Hope he didn't get his sex - I'd have been raging too.

delphguelph · 12/09/2018 01:26

Are you new around these parts, op?

Boyicantwait2beamumagain · 12/09/2018 01:40
