Would you be happy with these flowers?

Paid almost £40 for the picture advertised and today got the following delivered. (To clarify the flowers I received are in the pink wrapping). They are meant to be for a relative who knitted us a lot of baby clothes.

Nope. Would not be happy. The bouquet looks like 2 cheap Tesco bunches put together.

theWarOnPeace · 29/08/2018 15:31

No, they’re not the same thing! I’d be complaining, pronto.

dickyduckydido · 29/08/2018 15:32

The pink ones are nice but nothing like the first pic........

KittyLover91 · 29/08/2018 15:32

No sorry, I dont really think they look like the same arrangement!

I have actually ordered that arrangement before for my mum. When they were delivered some of the flowers obviously hadnt opened but they looked like the flowers in the online picture.

PerfectlyPosed · 29/08/2018 15:32

No, I wouldn't pay £40 for those. They're not awful and I think they can still be given but they're not worth £40. I would be asking for some of the money back.

NynaeveSedai · 29/08/2018 15:33

No way! Where are the lilies? Refund!

Twotailed · 29/08/2018 15:33

It might look better when the Lillies have opened but I agree it doesn’t look like the picture. Are you missing roses too?

Rosley · 29/08/2018 15:35

Has anyone ever bought flowers from Marks and Spencer? Are they good quality? There is one on the way to visit my relative tomorrow and I might nip in and pick some up. Feeling really annoyed as don’t want to turn up empty handed.

Rosley · 29/08/2018 15:36

There are lilies in there, just closed. But yes no roses in the bouquet which is disappointing.

Doesn't look like the same bouquet.

M&S flowers are usually nice. They have nice sunflowers in just now which are cheery and bright Smile

Louiselouie0890 · 29/08/2018 15:39

Can only see the ingerfl9ra ones

AnEPleaseBob · 29/08/2018 15:40

God no, get a refund, that's shocking.
M&D does lovely flowers in the shops. Don't know about their delivery service.

BarbaraofSevillle · 29/08/2018 15:40

Problem is that a great chunk of that £40 is spent on placing the order with a local florist and delivery, plus Interflora's profit of course. You're paying for the flower delivery service, as much, if not more than the flowers themselves.

Always going to look like poor value for money compared with going to a florist or supermarket yourself to buy and deliver the flowers.

There will probably be some small print and a disclaimer about state of bloom opening and allowing for reasonable substutions.

Lordamighty · 29/08/2018 15:41

Flowers are one of the things I never order online if possible for this reason. M&S flowers are really nice & you could get something decent for half the price of those in the picture.

RibbonAurora · 29/08/2018 15:41

They're allowed to replace with other flowers depending on availability but the overall look of the bouquet and quality of blooms should be the same - that's a really poor representation of what you ordered. Definitely complain and send your pic to interflora, they have quality requirements their participating florists have to meet.

IsTheRainEverComingBack · 29/08/2018 15:41

They’re nothing like the same bouquet and you should complain. I ordered from them once and was really disappointed, never again.

M&S flowers are always a bit uninspired and small to me, Tesco honestly have the best bunches, big and well presented.

rebelrosie12 · 29/08/2018 15:41

They are of a totally different style!

Rosley · 29/08/2018 15:44

I’ve definitely learned my lesson about ordering online. I’m 34 weeks pregnant and just thought it would make for an easier life rather than hobbling into town Blush

I’m happy to hear M&S do some good ones so I will pop in tomorrow morning and get some and a naice box of biscuits or chocolates Grin

My DH ordered me flowers from inter flora at the weekend, they came from our local florist (the one we used for our wedding flowers actually) and they are absolutely beautiful. They were £36 including delivery and are far nicer than what you've ended up with.
Definitely complain.

Whatsthisbear · 29/08/2018 15:46

Did you order from interflora? I would contact them and say the florist that delivered them are not making the bouquets as per picture. Shocking thet don’t look anything like £40.
Have to say I always make a special trip to Aldi for flowers, they last far longer than Tesco or Sainsbury’s ones IME

Halfahunnerstillastunner · 29/08/2018 15:52

No roses? Cheapskates. I would complain!

placebobebo · 29/08/2018 15:52

Around a third of what you paid goes straight into Interfloras pocket then the florist they pass it to has to take their delivery charge out of it. Doesn't leave much for actual flowers.
Next time ring a florist local, with a good reputation and spend more of your cash on the actual product rather than fees.

doris9034 · 29/08/2018 15:54

If you do need to order online I've always found that Bunches are the best - next day delivery, good value for money and bouquets last at least a week (esp if you get the ones delivered in water)

Roussette · 29/08/2018 15:57

No, they are awful.

I cannot recommend highly enough Bloom and Wild. They are internet. They come in packaging that could go through a letterbox. They are all in bud, not bloom and they honestly last weeks if not a month! This sounds weird, but to watch them slowly come out is lovely. Everyone I've ever sent them to has absolutely loved them.

I got some for my birthday and I can honestly say they were the best bouquet delivered I've ever had.

uncomfortablydumb53 · 29/08/2018 15:57

Not in the least bit similar and I would complain.. Not worth £4 let alone £40
