People are seeing through this group of pointless has beens. Whatever excuses they make will be irrelevant.

Off you pop you venomous harpies, slide off into bitter obscurity where you belong.

TurnipCake · 29/08/2018 21:45

Who remembers when loose women was good?

[Footage not found]

Laiste · 29/08/2018 21:46

picklemepopcorn - Kim gives me the impression of those apparently hard as nails women who have endured such hardship and abuse that they completely armour themselves with hostility. She doesn't take prisoners because she knows she's vulnerable underneath the shell.

She had a long hard life before she became successful pretty late on.

I just wanted to repeat this. I agree. It's as plain as day to me. Think about this old saying: Before you judge a man, walk a mile in his shoes.

Tw1nsetAndPearls · 29/08/2018 21:52

I am not somebody who usually watches LW or makes complaints but did both today. It was clearly bullying. I was surprised that JSP took such an active role in for this.

Surely it this show should be about empowering women, this was the exact opposite

MrsJayy · 29/08/2018 22:02

I wonder how they’ll address it tomorrow because they can’t ignore it, can they?

No they can't I reckon they willhave quite a serious panel tomorrow Kaye Adams at the top table jane moore and JSpwith colleen on day off and kaye apologising or colleen there but answering questions defending it all with Kaye apologising

MissEliza · 29/08/2018 22:05

I've watched the clip now and I'm also surprised at Janet Street Porter being involved in something so stupid. I also felt sorry for Linda Robson who appeared to be trying to do the right thing. I really don't think there's a defence for CN's behaviour. KW clearly has issues but CN just behaved like a bitch. ITV is becoming a trashy channel.

Jitters22 · 29/08/2018 22:10

It was like a pack of lions taking down a zebra

Agreed.

I am actually shocked that on usually fair and rational Mumsnet there are actually people here slagging off Kim Woodburn for her 'outburst'.

A 76 year old woman, known to be volatile and quite possibly with some underlying mental health concerns is deliberately baited to draw a reaction - and it was precisely the reaction they wanted and one they knew they would get.

Kim Woodburn was 'set up' today, she was humiliated and provoked and it was cruel and deliberate. The fact that it followed a 'mental health' segment is the greatest irony of all.

Everyone concerned with today's programme should hang their heads in shame.

StarUtopia · 29/08/2018 22:12

I actually agree with Kim Woodburn. And the poster above.

ShakeYourBonBon · 29/08/2018 22:13

I too complained to Ofcom. First time I've ever felt the need to do so.

This wasn't entertainment, this was cruel and bullying behaviour from several women against one woman who has obviously suffered a lot in her lifetime.

Disgusting.

TheFairyCaravan · 29/08/2018 22:19

There’s been around 450 complaints to Ofcom according to the Huffington Post. They’re not going to be able to ignore this. I bet they wishes the horse racing was on tomorrow so they only had half an hour to fill.

LadyRochfordsHoickedGusset · 29/08/2018 22:23

Middle-aged bullying how embarrassing. Something you should have grown out of since school ideally. Don't think Colleen went though ??

LadyRochfordsHoickedGusset · 29/08/2018 22:25

Surprised about JSP's collusion too.

Jitters22 · 29/08/2018 22:26

Kim Woodburn's spokesperson has said that she was misled by LW producers.

She was invited onto the show apparently because Colleen wanted to draw a line under their 'feud'. When she arrived, KW was 'briefed' and told that Colleen Nolan would speak first and give her reasons for their row.

However when KW walked on set, CN refused to speak and KW was made to speak first.

I absolutely believe this. If you watch the clip you can see immediately that this is correct. KW is questioned twice and both times refers back to CN - who remains resolutely silent.

They stitched her up. No question.

Tw1nsetAndPearls · 29/08/2018 22:27

not many programmes get more than 100 complaints.

450 - and it will be more now - can't he ignored

9amTrain · 29/08/2018 22:28

@Tw1nsetAndPearls Where does it say 450 for LW? It's only showing Big Brother stats for me?

Tw1nsetAndPearls · 29/08/2018 22:31

Somebody below quoted 450

ShatnersWig · 29/08/2018 22:31

www.thesun.co.uk/tvandshowbiz/7129535/kim-woodburn-demands-loose-women-fire-coleen-nolan/amp/?__twitter_impression=true

Kim speaks out. Wants them both fired.

That is an enormous number of complaints and Twitter is increasingly more and more behind her and calling CN out. I really hope she is fired. Should have been fired long ago for her homophobic comments.

Tw1nsetAndPearls · 29/08/2018 22:33

Huffington Post has reported 448 complaints

9amTrain · 29/08/2018 22:34

Ah ok. That's a lot then, but deserved!

SinisterBumFacedCat · 29/08/2018 23:21

What made me laugh was the moment KW responded that she'd done celebrity Big Brother for the money and they all sounded shocked and outaged. Pretty much 90% of the Loose Women panel have done Big Brother! The hypocrites!

MrsJayy · 29/08/2018 23:33

I love Kims honesty on its for the money colleen Nolan got paid to go on big brother to sit and smoke fags and won it was a job not some great adventure

DearMrDilkington · 29/08/2018 23:54
