DH went to Lidl last night. Bought this flour... I’ve just found the hole...
Was the hole there last night? If so do I speak to the shop/ take it back? but if it was why did the bag not empty itself all the way home?
The bag was left on the counter overnight? Did the hole appear then? What made the hole?

No other evidence of overnight visitors with teeth ( and been here 5 years without an invasion before.

AIBU to pretend I didnt notice it and make DD’s birthday pizza?

Get some fresh.
Whatever made that will be full of germs.
Mice are not nice.
Rats are twats.

Flyingpompom · 29/08/2018 09:15

Yikes! I would not use that flour!

chocolatemademefat · 29/08/2018 09:15

Lob it in the bin. And look out in case the mouse is still in there.

PurpleFlower1983 · 29/08/2018 09:16

Oh dear! Looks like you have house guests!

ILoveDolly · 29/08/2018 09:16

Grim. Do not use the flour!

Occamsrazorblade · 29/08/2018 09:23

It might have been something getting out, not in...

PalePinkSwan · 29/08/2018 09:23

You definitely cannot use that flour!

Holymosquito · 29/08/2018 09:40

Yes the flour is for the bin. DH thinks the hole was not made in situ? There wasn’t any spilled flour around the hole? No sign of teeth marks in a bowl of tomatoes sitting next to the flour? nor an open pack of walnuts? Would a mouse not have tried those goodies too?

Should I call the supermarket?

I am just amazed at how perfectly round that hole is. One very clever mouse if it was a mouse

ElainaElephant · 29/08/2018 09:48

If it had been there all along, you would have flour everywhere. There is no way you would not have noticed.

Do you have any practical jokes in your house?

MysweetAudrina · 29/08/2018 09:50

Does the circumference of the hole match the girth of your dh's penis? Maybe he wanted to try a different texture.

LaGruffaloGrumble · 29/08/2018 09:54

Well that escalated quickly!

Deux · 29/08/2018 09:57

I think a mouse was trapped in the bag and fought it's way out. Or there were some kind of giant mutated flour weevils who are now roaming your home.

You would have had some flour spillage somewhere on the way back from the supermarket.

Ginandplatonic · 29/08/2018 09:57

That is a very neat and symmetrical mouse! But if the hole was already there the flour would be everywhere. It’s a mystery....

chillpizza · 29/08/2018 10:01

Seems more like a practical joke. If it was there in the shop it would of spilled flour everywhere, if the hole was made in your house you would have flour on the side and a rodenty footprint trail.

cdtaylornats · 29/08/2018 10:02

From the edges of the hole it looks like something emerged.

AJPTaylor · 29/08/2018 10:03

I tiny tear in a packet of flour creates a trail around a supermarket. That did not happen in the supermarket

ScoobyGangMember · 29/08/2018 10:04

^^ This. Shock

Seeline · 29/08/2018 10:06

Could some sort of liquid been dropped onto the bag whilst on the counter, and the packaging dissolved? It's a very circular hole.

TheFaerieQueene · 29/08/2018 10:06

When you threw the bag away did flour come out of the hole? I’m guessing yes. Well if the hole was made at the supermarket, it would have spilled on the shelf, the checkout, in the carrier bag, when you put it down in the surface. See where I’m going with this? Something in your home did this. Probably a spider!!!! 😈

EggMayonnaise · 29/08/2018 10:06

It's an outie not an innie!

Very neat, very odd!

WhiteCoyote · 29/08/2018 10:09

Definitely rodents you can see the nip marks. They’re remarkably clever at perfectly round holes, I’ve had to clean up after them a few times at work in the bin bay. Always marvelled at thier work Grin

Twotailed · 29/08/2018 10:10

I’m not one to be precious about food and germs but I wouldn’t be eating or using that - it does look like it might have been teeth!

abacucat · 29/08/2018 10:14

Yes sorry whatever caused that is in your house.

Happityhap · 29/08/2018 10:15

Very odd to make a hole like that but not eat or spill any flour. Confused
