visitor wanted escort to buy eggs

My brother and his girlfriend came to stay in my share house in a trendy area with lots of good, cheap restaurants well within walking distance. Last time he came to stay he was single, chatty and easy-going and fun to have around, so I was looking forward to it.
On my day off and in the mornings I took them out to places I thought they'd like. I work from 3pm until 10pm. She informed me that he had refused to go out for dinner so they didn't have any when I was at work.
I gave them my bed, with mosquito net, and slept on the sofa. She informed me in the morning that he was annoyed by the mosquitos.
The day before they left she wanted to show her apreciation by making walnut pancakes, but we didn't have enough eggs. I wanted to rest far more than I wanted pancakes, so I tried to give her directions to the shops, but she wasn't having any of it; we had to go out (on foot) in the heat to find a shop open. My brother stayed on the sofa.
I was resentful. I made a snotty comment about her wanting to show off by making pancakes. She looked really offended. She loves cooking and is good at it. She felt she was doing something nice for me.
I suppose we were all being unreasonable, but from most unreasonable to least?

It sounds more like your brother was BU then his girlfriend tbh. But none of the issues seem like a big deal?

You should have said, "I don't really want pancakes at the moment. Either DB will take you to the shops or you can go alone." Why did you go yourself and let your deadbeat brother relax on the sofa?

But if you didn’t want to go to the shops you should have just said no and held firm. The comment about her showing off wasn’t very nice but it sounds like their stay was quite stressful so I understand your frustration. Perhaps you all aren’t suited to staying under 1 roof, it can get intense and personalities can clash so I’d think twice before having them to stay again.

I can't really be arsed with guests who are hard work either.

However, I think

Your brother was most unreasonable as he was being lazy and complaining.
You were rude to her who was probably struggling with your brother's rudeness.
She was least rude and trying her best.

I suspect there will be loads of drip feeds to follow.

I was looking forward to an opportunity to clutch my pearls (and maybe even cancel the cheque) and all I get is a tired host, a frustrated pancake maker and a lazy arse of a guest!

Your brother seems the dead weight in this arrangement and I doubt his girlfriend will be rushing back to see you. Guests can be hard work though, maybe send her a quick text to apologise for being a grumpy arse, explaining that you were tired.

OP, is the real point that your brother seems to be speaking through his girlfriend? Why do you think this is? Why is someone who used to be 'chatty and easy-going and fun to have around' so different now and why did he refuse to go out for dinner?

Also disappointed at the lack of a prostitute but...

I would say your DB was the most unreasonable except that the earlier things he did were only reported by the gf, so we don't know if he genuinely refused to go out for dinner and was annoyed by the mosquitoes or if that's just what the gf said.
