To think I can wear what I want in my own house?

New neighbours and I think they might be slightly mad.

Few weeks ago she complained about me and oldest dd being in the garden wearing bikinis ( not even teeny bikinis ) as she has a husband and a teenage son and they might see us. I tried hard to make sure if I was out there sunbathing I was away from her garden and moved the kids pool so it would be harder for them to be seen from their fence. ( - the only way they can see in to our garden is when on trampoline, their raised patio or looking out of upstairs window)

This morning I was cleaning kitchen in my pjs (vest and shorts so not revealing) dd was stood by open patio doors chatting to me in shorts and a crop top she sleeps in. Next thing mrs next door is banging on my front door telling me I'm continuing to disrespect her and her family by the provocative way we dress! If we continue to flaunt ourselves she will be complaining to my husband!

I wasn't quite sure what to say - I suggested she maybe wanted to refrain from looking into my house over her fence if we were upsetting her.

She is totally unhinged!

Bekindtoall78 · 22/08/2018 18:36

Hmmm slightly extreme Christian maybe?
This does not give us the best name.
I would seriously note down all her interactions with you. She sounds slightly unhinged and a bit worrying. I hope she leaves you alone.
In the mean time, enjoy being naked in your garden, after all, it is what God intended! 😉😂

If I had a neighbour who seemed unnaturally anxious about her husband and son seeing an inch of flesh, I'd take that as possibly a warning that one of them might have given her reason to think he could be a predator (hence her thinking that he mustn't be tempted)

That's seriously bizarre, and really quite offensive to the husband and son. Surely most people would assume that either the neighbour was jealous or, more likely, ultra prudish and possibly religious?

ScottyTotty2 · 22/08/2018 18:58

tell her to mind her own

pollymere · 22/08/2018 19:04

I'm disappointed.. I thought you were at least wearing see through nighties or going topless. I'm sure my neighbour can see me get out of bed when she's in her garden. She's never said anything and she's a very modest, strict Muslim. Your neighbours are hilarious, although they sound like a real pain. I also take issue with any man that apparently can't control themselves around women due to clothing. They need to get help before they rape someone.

Bubblysqueak · 22/08/2018 19:05

Can I add my suggestions for the play list-
The thong song (not sure if that's the official title )
Sex on the beach
And shaggy's it wasn't me.

👀

KerrytheBerry · 22/08/2018 19:19

She’s mental. Trust me, won’t get any better! I had a batshit neighbour and we ended up moving-mostly due to her. Crazy old bitch. Good luck Shock

Grilledaubergines · 22/08/2018 19:22

Time to dust off your DH’s mankini OP and ask him to do a few garden bends and stretches.

caoraich · 22/08/2018 19:23

Omg my neighbours have clearly moved from wherever that was - there can't be more can there?

Oh OP I'm sorry to tell you that was my thread, and they still live next door to me!!

Which means there must be more of them about.... Mine are from the USA, are yours? The happy-clappy ness sounds familiar though....

elfies · 22/08/2018 19:31

I love your party idea , but I'm a little worried that perhaps one of the two males has a real problem and she needs to keep an eye on him .

mayaknew · 22/08/2018 19:33

Just rtft brilliant 😂😂

OP when is your dds party ? I need to know what happens 😂😂 also what has your dh said he will say when NDN grasses you in?😂

starbrightlight · 22/08/2018 19:39

Take up pottery and fill your garden with ceramic works of art. Phallic totem poles, vulva ponds, breast planters etc. Arty and on trend.

ForalltheSaints · 22/08/2018 19:41

I hate to think how the next door neighbour would cope with a journey on a bus or train, given some of the attire worn in recent weeks.

MrsFoxPlus4 · 22/08/2018 19:43

The only thing I can think of is getting one of those hairy belly swimsuits that make you look naked 😂! Why are they peeping toms, don’t look 😂😭

PipeTheFuckDown · 22/08/2018 19:54

Pretty much every Nine Inch Nails is song is raunchy as fuck. Play their albums. On repeat.

Whilst your DH is in a gimp mask, leather thong, being dragged round the garden on a lead, by you, wearing a PVC dress, ridiculous heels and whipping him.

I have the stuff I’ll send it to you Wink

MissyMoooo · 22/08/2018 20:19

Oh lord this is GOLD!! Please update us during / after the party OP

Meinmytree · 22/08/2018 20:21

It's a good job they don't live next to me - I often wander round inside naked when it's hot (with the blinds shut of course)

NannyKasey · 22/08/2018 20:34

If she lived next to me I would be playing Five Finger Death Punch and Metallica very loudly when she starts her singalong, Grin

Faerie87 · 22/08/2018 21:02

Op forget about the trampoline for your party! Get this bouncy castle instead!

Beeziekn33ze · 22/08/2018 21:17

Sounds as if OP's 11 year old might censor some of the more imaginative ideas being suggested.
The 15 year olds will most likely have their own playlist in mind.

Icanttakemuchmore · 22/08/2018 21:46

If the ndn knocks on the door again to complain, make sure you open the door in your bikini!
The woman sounds off her rocker to me. I'd definitely be putting her in her place, my house so i'll wear what I want and they shouldn't be looking!

Iseveryusernametaken · 22/08/2018 21:52

It sounds like they might be Brethren. I have had some experience and had to explain to a company once why they couldn't include clauses in employment contracts that stated that it was a breach of contract to 'co-habit outside of marriage', that they would not employee anyone LGBT and would instantly dismiss if discovered. Also, women could only be employed if "it did not affect normal household duties'. They also referred to anyone who wasn't Brethren as 'sinners' and we're not allowed to break bread with them or live in an adjoining property.

Lillyringlet · 22/08/2018 21:54

If she talks to your husband about your choice of clothing, tell him to agree with "tell me about it! I keep trying to convince her that she would rock these crotchless panties and see through bra when mowing the lawn... She's so beautiful and should feel more comfortable to wear things that really show off her wonderful body!"

Also thong song should be added to the playlist

GhostPerfume · 22/08/2018 22:04

How rude. Wear what you want. Ignore her.
