We have no recognisable photos of our DC on social media. My visiting friend has just posted some where they are recongisable and I'm tagged. DC aren't tagged, no names mentioned . She didn't ask our opinion/permission...

Aibu to ask her to remove those where DC can be recognized?

I am not a fan of Facebook but I really can't get worked up about photos of kids on s8cial media unless there are extenuating circumstances. And no-one seems to be able to point out to me the difference between social media and the local paper for example. A photo is just a photo.

I guess social media ties in to other details about your life that make you more identifiable in a way a group shot of 30 kids doesn't?

Surely one is still allowed to make decisions for one's own kid? It doesn't matter whether people think it's ridiculous or not. It's not a big request to ask someone to take down a picture. I don't understand people who endlessly want others to justify their parenting decisions, just because they think they know best.

Just ask politely. It's fine.

No in this instance. You have no control over other peoples images of your children. It's not a big ask but they don't have to agree if they don't want to.
