To have cried because I'm hungry

(Light hearted)

Ok ok its not really that I'm hungry, more so that DP ate my lunch, which he shared with DSS because they were hungry but gave absolutely no thought what so ever to the fact I may be hungry too.

In the grand scheme of things this is soooo silly but I had a tantrum and I cried!

DP is currently at the shop buying me something tasty to eat ... it better be good 🤣

Please cheer me up by sharing your adult tantrums :)

Why did he eat your lunch?! Where were you when they started tucking in?

I hope he brings you back something excellent.

NewYearNewMe18 · 12/08/2018 14:43

I don't understand why there is only one meal in the house ?

TheStoic · 12/08/2018 14:44

My partner would be the one in tears if he ate my lunch.

glintandglide · 12/08/2018 14:44

I cry all the time when I’m hungry. It’s a form of hangerGrin

Lynne1Cat · 12/08/2018 14:45

Are you not able to make yourself a sandwich or something?

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 12/08/2018 14:45

I think I'd be the same if DH ate my food.

Bahhhhhumbug · 12/08/2018 14:47

God that would rely p me off especially the sharing it with Dss that is giving him a message too (providing he knew it was yours of course).

Duchessgummybuns · 12/08/2018 14:47

TheStoic Mine too Grin

Bahhhhhumbug · 12/08/2018 14:47

really

CherryPavlova · 12/08/2018 14:47

There is no food in the house? Odd.

Mouseville65 · 12/08/2018 14:53

@TheStoic that really made me laugh.

There is no food in the house because we havnt been shopping 🙈

We went out for lunch yesterday and ordered take away last night (I wasn't very hungry after eating out at lunch soooo I saved it for today's lunch)

I was upstairs when this betrayal happened - I was putting my hair in rollers as we are going out for a meal with all my friends and family this evening and I'd like to look my best lol

For context all this eating out isn't the norm - it's my birthday weekend.

For those worried about the 'message' to be DSS please calm down - this is a lighthearted thread and scoffing my leftover pizza isn't going to damage him long term haha

I cry or get shouty when I'm hungry. Once dh wound me up so much when I was really hungry (finished work late and it was taking forever to cook) I threw the colander at him which then broke. He laughed, I cried as I needed it. He then bought me biscuits and gave me a cuddle till my lunch was ready 😂 when I was pregnant he tried taking food off my plate.... I jabbed him in the hand with my fork! He didn't try again 🤣

Dd2 also gets hangry - if I don't have snacks she is prone to tears. She's emotional and unreasonable when hungry. Recently at legoland I was feeding her cocktail sausages in the queues until we could sit for lunch 🤣

Notsurewhatsbest · 12/08/2018 14:56

I was getting increasingly annoyed yesterday after going into each and every room that I had JUST tidied and seeing it a mess again. Minutes between each room by the way. HOW!? How and whhhhhhy do children make so much mess!? The last straw was just after dinner. I had been washing the dishes and really wanted to go back into the sitting room to lay down for 5, walked in there to see the cushions all over the floor covered in apple juice Confused. I had just tidied it and was only gone for a few minutes! I was so pissed off and fed up by that point I actually cried (a bit, not quite a sob but there were tears!) It was quite pathetic..

Hope you get something extra nice for lunch and don't share a thing!!

Mouseville65 · 12/08/2018 14:57

@nocutsnobuttsnococonuts my DM also 'forked' a food thief, perhaps this condition is hereditary haha

I had a major strop the other day. I am on a diet, and treated myself to a pack of Timeout chocolate bars, I thought, one a day if I need a chocolate fix, and they have fewer calories than other chocolate bars. My SIL and nieces called in, and my H asked them if they wanted one of my fuckin choc bars.........One???,.....One??? , they had bastard two, by the time they pissed off, all I had left was the sniff of the wrappers. I went absolutely ape shit. I'm still pissed off, thinking about it now!

Mouseville65 · 12/08/2018 15:05

@Aprilsinparis - LTB 😆 also if he hasn't replaced them yet you need to work harder on your tantrums 😂

OP posts:
HemanOrSheRa · 12/08/2018 15:07

It is hereditary! Me, my sister and my DS all get HANGRY. DP is a weirdo - he never gets hunger pangs Confused.

DrFoxtrot · 12/08/2018 15:10

YANBU - was it that there was enough pizza for three and they ate it all? Or could you have eaten what they were going to have for lunch instead? Not that you should have to though Angry

FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast · 12/08/2018 15:11

Jeez I was about to offer to send you my last fiver so that you could eat. Now you say you went out for lunch yesterday, got a takeaway last night, and your partner is out buying you food as we speak.

in fact being hungry isn't that amusing, in the real world.

Call me a humourless biatch if you like, but in recent weeks I have lost at least a stone, due to lack of food.

MyDirtyLittleSecret · 12/08/2018 15:13

OP, YANBU! That was your leftover pizza! I can be a raging bitch very unreasonable when I'm hungry (only cried when I was pregnant though) DH knows the signs now and if we're out immediately starts steering me towards the nearest food source.

KickAssAngel · 12/08/2018 15:14

when I first went on the pill I became emotionally irrational.

One night DH was doing some DIY and came to bed after me. The next morning I discovered that he'd eaten the last raspberry yogurt before he came to bed.

Reader, I buried him.

Not quite - but my reaction still lives on in infamy. That was 27 years ago, and the phrase "raspberry yogurt" still makes us both wince.

Aprilsinparis · 12/08/2018 15:17

FourFried The OP did state it was light hearted.

Mouseville65 · 12/08/2018 15:18

@FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast the humor is in the fact a grown woman cried over 'leftover pizza' NOT at people going hungry.

I'm not going to call you names or berate you, firstly because that's unkind but secondly because it sounds like your having a tough time.

You are right in the fact I am being spoilt this weekend - it's my birthday on Tuesday but unfortunately I have to do something I wouldn't wish on anyone on my ACTUAL birthday so everyone is making a big fuss of me (it's probably the real reason I'm crying at the drop of a hat)

The point is tho this was a lighthearted post so we could all have a little giggle together - I apologise if that caused you offense.

OP posts:
Connebert · 12/08/2018 15:18

FFCDWT sorry to hear that. Why do you have no food?

ProfessorMoody · 12/08/2018 15:19

FourFried - are you saying people who can afford food don't get hungry? How bizarre.
