To have cried because I'm hungry

Mouseville65 · 12/08/2018 14:41

(Light hearted)

Ok ok its not really that I'm hungry, more so that DP ate my lunch, which he shared with DSS because they were hungry but gave absolutely no thought what so ever to the fact I may be hungry too.

In the grand scheme of things this is soooo silly but I had a tantrum and I cried!

DP is currently at the shop buying me something tasty to eat ... it better be good 🤣

Please cheer me up by sharing your adult tantrums :)

PD, and others, why would you continue insensitively arguing the toss when you know perfectly well what’s meant? Lack of compassion. Don’t get it.

ProfessorMoody · 12/08/2018 15:37

I was hungry this morning. Today I was able to eat as we'd had enough money to buy food. A few weeks ago we had to visit a food bank as we didn't have money. I was hungry then, I was hungry this morning.

Hunger is something you experience when your stomach is empty. You don't need to be poor to experience that.

DrFoxtrot · 12/08/2018 15:39

YADNBU if they said they would eat while they were out!

NewtScamandersNaughtyNiffler · 12/08/2018 15:41

I'm the worst person when I'm hungry. Tearful and angry and sometimes so tearful and angry I don't want to eat Confused

DP learned quite early on in our relationship not to wind me up when food is concerned.

MyDirtyLittleSecret · 12/08/2018 15:41

opened the thread because I thought someone was in food poverty

And yet, the very first word of the very first post was "light hearted".

Please do what a pp suggested, start your own thread, you're not likely to get the discussion and responses you clearly need here.

@FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast

If there is a way I can help you I will, if you do decide to start a thread let me know.

To all my other hangry posters - thank you for letting me know I'm not the only one and for sharing your stories, some of these have really made me smile.

thanks you sound like a lovely person x

KickAssAngel · 12/08/2018 15:55

I have left over pizza in the fridge right now. And cheesecake.

DH abhors cold leftovers. He shudders at the sight of them. They are mine and I shall relish them.

flametrees · 12/08/2018 15:56

My son ate the last cornetto and left the empty box in the freezer. I'm traumatised.

otterturk · 12/08/2018 15:57

FFCD this is clearly not the thread for you. Take from that what you will.

Mouseville65 · 12/08/2018 15:58

@KickAssAngel whilst I'm still longing for my cold Hotshot pizza, iv had a Mozzarella and pesto sandwich, a mini pork pie and a toffee crisp so I won't start a dramatic 'taken' style hunt you down approach for your leftovers hahaha

Whilst this thread is lighthearted, you sound as though you are experiencing rough times.

Please start a thread, I'm sure you will get some good advice.

Mouseville65 · 12/08/2018 15:59

@flametrees ... he is clearly showing signs of a sadistic nature, I'm calling red flag 😂

OP posts:
flametrees · 12/08/2018 16:05

Red flag duly noted Grin

howabout · 12/08/2018 16:16

High 5 Kickass. My DH also thinks cold leftovers are disgusting and my cold pizza is always safe.

Only problem is we had roast lamb yesterday and he will have to cope with leftovers for today and tomorrow. I would just have cold cuts but to save his tears and tantrums will have to make kebabs and curry instead.

JillianHoltzmann · 12/08/2018 16:35

When i was in the first trimester I cried because my mum had made a bacon sandwich and didn't make me one. I didn't even want the sandwich, I just wanted her to have made me one. Like some weird declaration of affection.

Deadringer · 12/08/2018 16:41

He needs to make you some soup op. Wink

Genderwitched · 12/08/2018 17:00

Yes you are being U. What with this thread and the one about the man ordering a takeaway because he can't wait until 9 o'clock for his dinner, I am beginning to despair at how pathetic some people are.

Good grief get a grip, you are among the most privileged people in the world.

OP, glad things are on the up. Happy birthday for Tuesday, I hope the difficult thing you have to do goes as well as it can Smile

Kittykat93 · 12/08/2018 17:17

@FourFriedChickensDryWhiteToast

Please start a thread, you can get some really good advice for what sounds like a difficult situation. Hope you're okayThanks

Mouseville65 · 12/08/2018 17:19

@AnneLovesGilbert thank you ☺️

@Genderwitched are you hungry by any chance?

OP posts:
Chillyegg · 12/08/2018 17:22

Your not a humourless butch at all! Is there any way I can help?

Chillyegg · 12/08/2018 17:29

I think there is a difference to people who are hungry can afford food and know they can access food within that day to people who are hungry don’t have a pot to piss in and don’t eat for extended periods of time . No the pp shouldn’t derail and know she doesn’t inhibit anyone’s body but let’s give her an easy time I think it’s probably a pretty shitty place to be to be hungry and not knowing where your next meal is coming from. It’s quite frankly shocking that anyone in 2018 experiences this but hear we are.

Tinkobell · 12/08/2018 17:31

No not silly. It's called a calorie meltdown. We get them all the time in our house - kids and adults. Don't be embarrassed.

JessicaJonesJacket · 12/08/2018 17:35

I get hangry and so does DS. Now when he starts to grump, I'll ask 'are you hungry? tired? thirsty? hormonal?' and head off the tantrum at the pass.
