Light hearted ofcourse!

But please tell me I'm not BU! 😂

I asked husband if he'd be able to buy me some GALAXY chocolate on his way home from work last night. He said yes.
He comes home I obviously say hi and what not excited for my galaxy and there on the kitchen worktop is CADBURYS caramel!!!!! I do love Cadburys but I just really wanted some galaxy!
I was grateful and of course I still ate it 😂but he said I was silly and it's still chocolate and it's all the same!!

But it's completely not the same right???!!!!

It is the same. They both taste of yucky palm oil.

whattimeislove · 12/08/2018 13:04

Not right at all! When you're specific he should listen! I would be outraged if bought galaxy instead of cadburys...

bridgetreilly · 12/08/2018 13:04

It's not the same, though it is a lot nearer the same than it used to be before they ruined Cadburys.

Pringlecat · 12/08/2018 13:05

They don't taste the same at all. I can understand why you would feel slightly disappointed if you had been gearing up to eat the other. Does he not eat chocolate himself? Can he really not taste the difference?

Poodles1980 · 12/08/2018 13:05

I would question my future with someone like this.

Fatted · 12/08/2018 13:05

Deffo YANBU.

I am the opposite. HAS to be Cadburys and I want people to die a slow painful death when they say 'Oh it's just the same!'

InsomniacAnonymous · 12/08/2018 13:05

Well IMO Galaxy is literally inedible. The last time I tried some Galaxy I found it so revolting that I spat it out into a tissue and binned the rest of the bar. It didn't taste of chocolate at all.

LongSummerDays · 12/08/2018 13:06

I don't like Galaxy, it's always tasted odd to me. Mind you, CDM is odd tasting now. Hmm

Lynne1Cat · 12/08/2018 13:06

How very dare he! I hope you gave him a clout! My husband does similar things - I specifically told him I wanted butter and jam on my toast, and he didn't put the butter on. Damn him.

MidLifeCrisis2017 · 12/08/2018 13:08

Definite red flag. Ask to have this moved to the Relationships board.

whocoulditbe · 12/08/2018 13:08

He obviously thought you meant Cadbury, because who would eat Galaxy.

Yabu

FelixBrown · 12/08/2018 13:08

Sainsburys substituted cadburys caramel when I ordered Godiva

MrsSteptoe · 12/08/2018 13:09

Haven't had a Galaxy for a while. Used to be my favourite, so I'm now deeply worried about the posts above and need to go and buy a bar to test its quality.
And YANBU. Cadbury is horrid now.

mangomama91 · 12/08/2018 13:10

😂😂 I'm loving these responses!

His reasoning was that he saw it was only £1.50 so got that one for me! Nooo! Haha

Flowerylampshade · 12/08/2018 13:20

Cadbury is vile now

AppleKatie · 12/08/2018 13:20

Controlling?

Financially abusive more like? Outrightly admitting you only get the cheaper chocolate 😟 have you thought about logging it with 101?

Llanali · 12/08/2018 13:20

YABU to want galaxy.

He is BU to have substituted without consent.
