Light hearted ofcourse!

But please tell me I'm not BU! 😂

I asked husband if he'd be able to buy me some GALAXY chocolate on his way home from work last night. He said yes.
He comes home I obviously say hi and what not excited for my galaxy and there on the kitchen worktop is CADBURYS caramel!!!!! I do love Cadburys but I just really wanted some galaxy!
I was grateful and of course I still ate it 😂but he said I was silly and it's still chocolate and it's all the same!!

But it's completely not the same right???!!!!

😂😂 these are so funny!
I love the chocolate maintenance!!
I knew mumsnet would understand!!

He's at work at the moment but I will show him when he's home later haha

I am not defending him in any way but I have been buying Cadburys caramel recently. Although last week I bought galaxy which was also £1.50!!!!

I love Galaxy! Cadbury's tastes awful now... It's just not the same at all, which is really sad; it used to be my chocolate of choice.

Be thankful it wasnt a Hersheys bar which seems to be readily available in shops here now...that is truly awful!!!

MiddleClassProblem · 12/08/2018 14:01

Today DH bought me Galaxy when I wanted Lindt!

Galaxy just tastes like oily sugar with cocoa powder

MiddleClassProblem · 12/08/2018 14:03

Ps I would send you the galaxy but I have pmt and it got desperate so I’ve eaten half of it already

Lipsticktraces · 12/08/2018 14:04

Galaxy when you asked for Lindt is grounds for divorce!

My DM asks my DF for a plain chocolate Easter egg every year as she much prefers plain. Nearly every year she ends up with milk. They’ve been married 47 years...

MiddleClassProblem · 12/08/2018 14:07

Galaxy when you asked for Lindt is grounds for divorce!

Tbf I just asked for chocolate but after 10 years you’d think he’d know I don’t like Galexy and that we never buy it. I can’t even recall the last time he bought any form of Galaxy chocolate for himself... even a minstrel...

Maybe he’s a secret Galaxy eater 😱

MiddleClassProblem · 12/08/2018 14:09

Lipsticktraces does your DF thibk plain means chocolate with no bits in? Like he thinks she means no fruit and nut?

DurtySarf · 12/08/2018 14:10

It's definitely a red flag. I agree with those who say LTB.

whysorude · 12/08/2018 14:14

'DH' reverse did this to me many, many years ago and I wish I had the courage to LTB then. It's been a cycle of shit chocolate since then. Dairy Box for birthdays and mother's days! Cadbury with popping candy watching a film! Yorkies! Seriously, do I look like a trucker or bricklayer? Leave now. Do it! Before the abuse spirals out of control and you find yourself scouring the cupboards for anything other than the four pack of Drifters staring at you.

Aprilsinparis · 12/08/2018 14:40

Jeeez, an offence like that, really is worth doing time for. LTB, but before you do, cut holes in the gusset of his underpants and trousers, and laugh maniacally, when he gets arrested for indecent exposure.

Llanali · 12/08/2018 14:55

It’s a relief to see MN not minimising this.

He’s sending you a message that his choices over ride yours. That you aren’t worth the extra 50p.

Think that over and decide what you want to do.

leighdinglady · 12/08/2018 15:04

LTB

Tomorrowillbeachicken · 12/08/2018 15:05

Definitely LTB. Cadbury is disgusting now.

SilverySurfer · 12/08/2018 15:08

LTB - we are here for you to help you through the pain Grin

possumgoddess · 12/08/2018 15:09

YABVVVVU to prefer Galaxy to Cadburys. However if he got you Cadburys Caramel instead of a bar of chocolate (that is chocolate through and through) whether Galaxy or Cadburys YANBU at all. My very DH has form for getting me 'something special' when all I want is chunks of chocolate.

Flightbite · 12/08/2018 15:10

Log this with 101, who knows what he will do next. Stay safe!

theredjellybean · 12/08/2018 15:12

My dexh used to buy me nasty American chocolate when he was on business trips there.
I left him for my dp who sent me (and still does) hotel chocolat hampers whenever he is away....

That is a boast with no stealth.

OP... Definitely grounds for 'the talk'

JustAnotherPoster00 · 12/08/2018 15:16

Maybe he’s a secret Galaxy eater

The stuff that goes on behind closed doors Shock Shock

MorningsEleven · 12/08/2018 15:22

Seriously, do I look like a trucker or bricklayer?

I didn't want to say anything but since you ask 🏗

wizzler · 12/08/2018 15:31

LTB.
DS likes Galaxy. DD likes Cadburys. They NEVER swap. If one runs out, they wait until their stash is renewed. Even at their tender ages they realise there is a difference.
You need to nip this in the bud.

dingdongdigeridoo · 12/08/2018 15:32

Is Galaxy shit now too? I’ve not had it for years. I can’t imagine anything being worse than bloody Cadbury’s though.

Perhaps with proper counselling your marriage can survive this episode. Just count your blessings that it wasn’t Hershey’s.

Binkybix · 12/08/2018 15:42

You may need a spa break to help you recover

vampirethriller · 12/08/2018 17:21

My dad thinks Galaxy is fancier than Cadburys and I've not got the heart to tell him it tastes like Barbie dolls smell. I've put up with it for 36 years for Christmas and birthdays.
Though these days the flakes they put in 99s are the only Cadburys chocolate that tastes like it used to.

Tistheseason17 · 12/08/2018 17:34

Having discovered both contain Palm Oil and orangutans are getting killed for me to eat chocolate (and cake!) I have stopped buying it.

I am waiting for the impact on their share prices as I I purchased DAILY!!!

TroysMammy · 12/08/2018 17:44

vampirethriller did you used to sniff your Barbie? I can't remember ever doing that to my Sindy Grin
