I'm not feeling Christmassy but I'm thinking about it.

Funnily enough, before seeing this post I've just asked ds1 what he wants for Christmas and opened up the mumsnet Christmas tab in my phone for ideas.

I've got to start thinking and buying now as I've got 3dc (£500ish each) and other family members to buy for (£20ish budget each). Obviously I could spend less on the dc but they don't get much through the year so I like to spoil them a bit at Christmas.

What’s making you feel Christmassy?? It’s 30 degrees and endlessly sunny?

(I love Christmas! I just can’t find it in these conditions 😂)

In a few short weeks it'll be September, back to school and the run up to Hallowe'en. The build up to Christmas is always there in the background.

I am and have always been a Christmas lover. I do the baking, I make stockings, I make homemade presents, I always do my best to make it special. I even have favourite Christmas novels that I have to get out and re-read by the end of November.

However, I cannot, absolutely cannot get into Christmas mood in a heatwave in August. In fact there is almost something anti Christmas about starting this early.
