I get that in early September but it wears off long before Christmas. By November I can't be arsed with it all. It's very bad timing.

I bought a good housekeeping ‘getting ahead for christmas’ mag yesterday. Dh thought I was crazy!

It’s precisely because of the heatwave I’m looking forward to Christmas - I’m thoroughly fed up of it and am looking forward to autumn with a vengeance!!

I can't wait. Jumpers and boots and heavy coats, Christmas music and decorations, stodgy food and hot chocolate...I'm ready! (I know IABU but Scotland lost its heatwave ages ago )

I love christmas! Always start getting excited in August, doesn't help the the Movies 24 channel has just done Christmas in July last month, so watched lots of christmas movies. The argument of not getting excited in a heatwave is irrelevant for me since the heatwave seems to be over in my part of Scotland thankfully and it's even a bit chilly today. Can't wait to get my autumn candles on the go.

Nothing about this miserably hot weather is making me feel festive . I won’t feel it until Autumn.
