This heat is slowly killing me off.... But I don't want it to end either, would just be nice to have a good night sleep 😴😴😴

WereAllBladesArentWe · 24/07/2018 00:40

Yup!!! Shock

ReasonableLlama · 24/07/2018 00:42

Me 🙋🏻‍♀️ I just had my first baby and don't know what to do with him 🤯

Counterpane · 24/07/2018 00:43

Same here.

I actually got excited when I spotted a couple of clouds - thought the rain dance had worked - but they just floated past.

Pyjamaface · 24/07/2018 00:44

Me! I'm sitting in my garden in my pants. I've lit the citronella candle so I don't get munched and it's the most comfortable I've been all day

stayathomer · 24/07/2018 00:46

Me!(Hi!) two DS's have had nightmares and 1 not sleeping-keeps calling into me to ask am I still awake. Is cute but Id like to sleep!!!

whifflesqueak · 24/07/2018 00:46

Congratulations reasonable! Lots of squishy newborn cuddles. Oh and staring. I remember doing a lot of staring.

Just finished work. Off to bed. Have a peaceful night all you restless.

Bumble1830 · 24/07/2018 00:48

@reasonable congratulations, that's a good thing to be staying awake for.

Hi @stayathomer
Hope your DS settles soon

DramaAlpaca · 24/07/2018 00:50

Me. I'm a night owl who's usually still up at this time. It's not all that hot here, so sleeping shouldn't be a problem when I finally go up.

Actually, I think I might as well head off to bed now. Night all.

mumtomaxwell · 24/07/2018 00:51

Me! But unlike you OP I really want this horrible heatwave to end. Literally praying for it to stop now! I can’t stand the heat, it makes me so anxious and uncomfortable.

In the Lake District it’s nearly 10 degrees cooler according to my weather app - another reason to love it there!

SleightOfMind · 24/07/2018 00:52

Aw reasonable
Everyone will tell you you should sleep now but I was never able to.
I remember all of the promises I made to them that first night.

Some of them I even try to keepGrin

RaskolnikovsGarret · 24/07/2018 00:52

Me. But not because of the heat - depression, medication side effects, suicidal thoughts etc.

Congratulations Reasonable! - I didn’t have a clue what to do with my newborn either - who has somehow become 17.5 yrs old and is on holiday this week with a friend.

Stayathomer, your DS sounds cute!

Sparklfairy · 24/07/2018 00:53

reasonable congratulations! I'm still up but have insomnia so another sleepless night for me. Work will be fun tomorrow Hmm

Kismett · 24/07/2018 00:53

Another one who can’t sleep because of the heat. We can’t open windows either, so I’m basically living inside an oven.

stayathomer · 24/07/2018 00:54

Thanks Bumble! DS just shouted in and asked what my favourite time of the year is. Says he wants Winter back so he can get to sleep! Reasonable as above, congrats!!! I love the just watching thing too!

ChardonnaysPrettySister · 24/07/2018 00:54

The dog won’t settle and keeps panting.

I’m too hot and can’t sleep either.

LinoleumBlownapart · 24/07/2018 00:55

I am but it is only 9pm where I am, and it's freezing, I'm in thermal pj's and woolly socks! Grin

sandgrown · 24/07/2018 01:06

It's pretty cool on the Fylde Coast tonight but a bit humid. Lots of flying ants today.Congratulations Reasonable just enjoy looking at your new babySmile

mowmylawn · 24/07/2018 01:09

Still up here in Yorkshire, can't sleep with the heat and 2 kids wanting to snuggle up next to me in my bed (DH sleeping on the sofa 'cause it's cooler downstairs). On the plus side, I now know what ranking both of my kids' names were the years they were born. Wondering what to Google next...

Hiphopopotamus · 24/07/2018 01:12

I’m still awake but suddenly comfortable! I took the duvet out of the cover, then ran the cover in cold water under the sink. Now I’ve got my fan pointed directly at me under this cold damp cover! I’d so recommend it - I feel like I might be able to sleep now’

dinodiva · 24/07/2018 01:12

Me, although I was asleep and have been woken up to feed my 10 week old. We both have stinking colds so he’s been up a lot more the last couple of nights - I feel like a dried out, shrivelled husk. Relieved his big sister has a nursery day tomorrow so we can stay in bed. So over this heatwave, BFing is really unpleasant.

TrudeauGirl · 24/07/2018 01:13

Me, it's so muggy.

Sparklfairy · 24/07/2018 01:14

How do people in hot countries DO THIS?!

timshortfforthalia · 24/07/2018 01:21

Me - not cause of heat though. I've got to be up in two hours to go on holiday and earlier this evening i had some bad news about a family friend.

I'm really unsettled and dreading six hours of navigation in France tomo

Notsurprisedatall · 24/07/2018 01:25

Me... Body clock is off.

Love the heat, its so nice to not be cold. I have fibro and the cold and damp makes me worse. Plus I feel the cold so much, rather be hot than shuddering at 14 degrees.
