Parking situation on my new road.

I have just completed on a new house. When I viewed it I spent time on different days popping by the road at different times of day to checkout the parking situation and all was fine. My house and the one opposite have a drive for 1 car odd road and the others have space for 2. I only have one car.

The house opposite was for sale at the same time and the new occupants have just moved in a couple of weeks after me.
They have 6 cars!!!! (Green)

I have tried my best on the diagram to illustrate where everyone tends to park - each house has a coloured for above and then their cars are the same colour lines.
I only have one car so my driveway is ample however with green house wankers parking their cars all over the place - mainly at the end of the cul de sac - it's really hard to get out of my drive with cars also parked on the road in between my house (red) and my nice NDN (blue)

I've popped round and introduced myself and explained asking them politely not to park the three cars at the the end of the cul de sac (which is a dropped kerb. But they closed the door in my face and I haven't seen them since. Tonight they've got all of their cars all over the road as per the diagram.

What's my best course of action here?

Excellent update.

BreakfastAtSquiffanys · 18/07/2018 14:54

I'm wondering - because of the prompt promise of a PCSO visit- is the CFN already "known" to the local police as a troublemaker?

TwoBlueShoes · 18/07/2018 15:03

Small town, nothing else much to do?

sunshinesupermum · 18/07/2018 15:18

OP doesn't live in that small a town. Don't be so patronising! This is a serious issue for OP and her neighbours (except for CF ones) TwoBlueShoes

NicoAndTheNiners · 18/07/2018 15:48

I think TwoBleShoes meant if it's a small town the pc so might not have much to do which is why they can come so quickly. Because another poster insinuated the OP might be a trouble maker as the pcso is coming so promptly.

Certainty true here. The pcsos come out for door to door sales people to chase them off! Which amazes my copper relatives from another force.

mumontherunnn · 18/07/2018 15:54

@TwoBlueShoes are you serious?!
Poor @JennaTools Cant use her own drive without risking hitting her car or CF neighbours nor park on the street without getting abuse. She is home alone with her small kids and the CFNs are leaving notes on her window and shouting at her neighbours. Did you even RTFT or just jump on cause of the amount of comments?

@JennaTools I've been following you since you first posted. What a crappy situation having to live next to these people. Your doing all the right things, you can't let bullies win!

ThisMightAlsoInterestYou · 18/07/2018 16:05

OP, I really do feel for you. This is a fascinating post though and I'm keen to see what happens

NicoAndTheNiners · 18/07/2018 16:31

@mumontherunnn I think you’ve misunderstood @twoblueshoes comment. I believe she was replying to @breakfastatsquiffanys post saying maybe the PCSO was coming so quickly because the OP is a trouble maker.

So twoblueshoes was sticking up for the OP saying in a small town the pcso might not have much to do which is why they could come so quickly? That’s how I read it anyway.

MoonsAndJunes · 18/07/2018 16:36

Hopefully PSCO will suggest to CFNs that they show some consideration for others in future and stop being such rude, entitled, aggressive twats

mumontherunnn · 18/07/2018 17:08

@NicoAndTheNiners @TwoBlueShoes sorry if I misread that

NicoAndTheNiners · 18/07/2018 17:22

It’s easily done on a big thread. Smile

PurpleLostPrincess · 18/07/2018 17:24

Shameless placemarking... 🍿🙈

PersianCatLady · 18/07/2018 17:36

@mydogishot In one of your posts you mentioned to the OP that she should "register her dropped kerb".

I have a very similar problem to the OP in that my cul-de-sac there is no pavement on one side and on the other side there is a dropped kerb that runs the length of the road.

When we bought the property not only did the developers mention more than once that buyers should be aware that parking would not be permitted on the road at all.

There are restrictive covenants in the deeds that state there is to be no parking on the road but now the properties have all been sold, no-one will take action.

For a year or so everything was fine but some of the houses are being rented out and the tenants attitude is "we pay road tax, we can park here". One couple have said that the police have told them it is OK to park there but i do not believe them.

Thing is the reason for the dropped kerb is so that wheelchairs, prams and pushchair can access the pavement at any point. Now we have the ridiculous situation where cars block the pavement and everybody has to walk in the road.

Sorry I have just realised that I have gone on a bit here. So my question to you is what do you mean by "register your dropped kerb"?

KitKat1985 · 18/07/2018 17:48

Oooh I really want to know what the PCSO says!

ThisMightAlsoInterestYou · 18/07/2018 18:02

Me too KitKat!

Rememory · 18/07/2018 18:10

How can they think they're being reasonable when they've got so many fecking cars. It's obvious unless they've got individual car parking spaces for each car then there's an issue and it's their issue! Twats!
