Anybody else find that men flirt with you when your ovulating?
Just putting it out there interested to see what your responses are!

Biological psychologists believe that, but they believe in a lot of stuff that would be so controversial on here.

Don't be silly

Argeles · 12/07/2018 21:04

I’ve always had this experience too, and have wondered the same thing. It’s almost as though you’re wearing some kind of love potion (well when I was younger anyway).

It may just be as s result of women apparently looking more beautiful when they’re ovulating (read it somewhere years ago - may be a load of shite, but I agree with it anyway!).

CambridgeAnaglypta · 12/07/2018 21:04

Well I had a hysterectomy several years ago so it could explain the mute lump in the corner of the living room.

Pollaidh · 12/07/2018 21:05

Yes, both from the science and anecdotally - DH apparently loves my smell always, but sometimes it's like it drives him crazy, and it's when I'm ovulating.

user1471459936 · 12/07/2018 21:06

Apparently women dress in a more provocative manner when ovulating. That might lead to the flirting... Or you are just more receptive?

Foodylicious · 12/07/2018 21:07

Isn't there something about redder lips and more dialated pupils making us more attractive?
Does this vary in the cycle I wonder?

haverhill · 12/07/2018 21:08

I definitely noticed more male interest when I was younger mid-cycle. But I don’t know if I was actually getting more interest, or noticing it more.

Yes of course. Pheromones n shit. We didn't evolve without this kind of stuff. We're just fancy monkeys. :)

Glittered · 12/07/2018 21:12

Just curious seems the past couple of days every man including my partner, men at work even my neighbour have been flirty with me. And I'm ovulating. So just wondered if anyone else experiences it? I'm ok looking but nothing special and haven't changed the way I look or done my hair any different but everyone's commenting on how nice I look even a completely gay male work friend said there's something different about me 🤣

Branleuse · 12/07/2018 21:18

yeah of course subconsciously they will be drawn towards ovulating females more. Like any other mammal

SlartiAardvark · 12/07/2018 21:18

Ooh, Shut Up everyone!

AF has swanned in & made (a poor attempt at) a statement.

Bow twice & reverse out of the thread.....

icecreamgate · 12/07/2018 21:19

@CambridgeAnaglypta 😂

welshmist · 12/07/2018 21:20

Cambridge I had trouble not laughing out loud at your comment, which would have stirred my lump to know what had amused me. Grin

I was always randier mid cycle which was a giveaway for OH.

ijustwannadance · 12/07/2018 21:45

We are animals. Mating is a built in instinct.
I have always known when I was ovulating as I want sex for 2 days and body temp rises. Great for when I wanted to conceive!

I know when younger I always felt at my most attractive and confident/flirty whilst ovulating so more receptive to men at that time. More likely to initiate sex too.

Smell would defintely play a part in letting men know women were at their most fertile.

SoapOnARoap · 12/07/2018 21:48

I’d read that this has been scientifically proven once. You may be right op

IfNot · 12/07/2018 21:49

I'm pretty sure women are flirtier when ovulating. Weirdly I have never had any interest in sex when mid cycle but I think I wear more make up then.

BadMoodBetty · 12/07/2018 21:51

DH always knows before I am that I'm ovulating because he can smell it. I used to make more money in tips mid cycle working behind bars when younger.

Glittered · 12/07/2018 21:52

Read the article link really interesting
So it seems they can tell. Even if they don't know they are doing it.
When I'm ovulating I'm more attracted to taller men with deep voices too....thankyfully my partner is like that anyway or who knows what my hormones could make me do 😂

Racecardriver · 12/07/2018 21:52

Yes, women release a pheromone when they ovulate that gas the effect of triggering male interest. Apparently it smells like rancid butter Hmm

MiniAlphaBravo · 12/07/2018 21:56

Yes I haven’t really noticed being flirted with (I think im past that now maybe Sad) but I actually think I look slightly better and am more up for it lol.

geekone · 12/07/2018 22:00

Yes I am sure DH avoids me when I am ovulating.

Seriously though women become more sorry i hate this word but I have had gin and can’t think of another horny... when they ovulate more flushed and attractive it’s biological to make you more attractive to the opposite sex. Birds preen same thing.

Kokapetl · 12/07/2018 22:00

I have no idea when I'm ovulating- how would anyone else know?
