Anybody else find that men flirt with you when your ovulating?
Just putting it out there interested to see what your responses are!

Apparently women are programmed to seek out Alpha type men to father children, but more nurturing type men to help them bring up said children. So the primal urge is to get the strongest sperm but ensure the most stable family.
This came from a genetics study (cba to find link) that happened years ago which accidentally discovered just how many people didn't have the biological father they thought they had.
The findings kind of put paid to the idea that men have the urge to spread their seed and women have the urge to stay with one man-it's more complicated than that.
(Not that blindly following the basest urges of your lizard brain is exactly the pinnacle of human achievement, it's just an interesting explanation! )

I'm slim, pretty decent looking (so I've been told), but have never had anyone flirt with me, that I'm aware. I thought maybe I could blame it on the fact I don't ovulate due to PCOS - but then I thought I didn't get any flirting during my fertility treatment when doing ovulation induction (although ovulating 13 eggs at once maybe just confused the pheromones and / or me waddling around with eggs like cantaloupes although not as bad as when I had 28 eggs retrieved in my 3rd IVF cycle wasn't a terribly attractive sight!)

During my 2nd IVF cycle DH said he thought it had worked because I smelled different, he said sort of sweet. So he said he wasn't surprised when I took the pregnancy test (sadly the pregnancy wasn't successful so not sure if that was a good or bad sign!)

Everyone's responses so interesting.
I definatly have been wanting to talk to the taller more alpha type men 😮 not feeling it today though so maybe it's passed

I have suspected recently that the type of things I buy or want to buy are affected by where I am in my cycle. For example, strangely drawn to high heels and sports cars one week, or just spending more freely, and then more boring stuff during my period.

Omg yes I'm buying more for myself when I ovulate I didn't think of that!
I had bought to dresses and some new lipstick and arranged a night out with a friend to wear one of my dresses!
Crazy female hormones.
Was at work last night I'm a nurse and i didn't have my ovulation goggles on anymore. All the doctors looked the same as they normally do 😂

DH can always tell but he knows me, obviously. Though now I think about it maybe you're right - I always just thought I noticed it more when I was on my period.

Maybe it's physical changes - lots of women's boobs swell on their period, don't they?
