AIBU To think Victoria Beckham is a right mardy, stroppy looking mare. Anybody see the way she was looking out the corner of her eye at the crowds. Not a hint of a smile.

What happened to the other Spice Girls? I thought they were all invited.

Sparklingbrook · 20/05/2018 11:00

I thought Geri HalliwellHorner would be there.
From what I saw the men seemed pretty smiley.

scotchpie · 20/05/2018 11:03

They remind me of Donald & Melania Trump.

He acts like 'a dog with 2 dicks' & she always looks uncomfortable in her own skin and disgusted to stand by him

The VDB just the same.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 20/05/2018 11:04

I haven't said people are jealous though Sparklingbrook. I just don't agree with people bitching about someone they don't have the first clue about.

MightyMucks · 20/05/2018 11:05

I thigh she is unhappy too. She looked like she was going to cry and looked really, just, broken.

I really don’t get why people get worked up about comment on people like this. Apart from David’s long gone football salary their entire fortune is based on self promotion and publicity which they have ruthlessness exploited their own personal lives for.

There’s obviously something going on and I feel sorry for that. But I also think she is learning is that fame and publicity are not something you can turn off and on like a tap when it suits you.

If you want to make money about telling people all about the good times then you can’t blame those same people for continuing to be interested in the bad times.

I didn't say she should 'appear' grateful, you're twisting what I've written.
I said she didn't give a very good impression of being grateful to be invited. That's the truth, she didn't.

If she didn't want to be there she didn't have to go. Simple. She wasn't forced to attend. I meant that, considering she accepted an invitation to attend a Wedding that millions of other people would love to have been invited to (obviously given the chance), VB should have made an effort to not appear such a moody cow.

areyoubeingserviced · 20/05/2018 11:17

Daisychain- totally agree with your post regarding the Queen and Prince Philip.
Some people tried to imply that the Queen looked miserable because she was unhappy with the marriage between Harry and Meghan. I actually felt that she was worried about her husband’s health and couldn’t hide it .

DontDrinkDontSmoke · 20/05/2018 11:17

I hope if she’s not smiling it’s because she chooses not to and not because she’s having a miserable life. Everyone deserves to be happy.

DontDrinkDontSmoke · 20/05/2018 11:19

The queen did not look miserable to me. She and Phil looked delighted on arrival. She has a serious face when not grinning and I imagine she was taking her grandson’s wedding very seriously.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 20/05/2018 11:20

You said she should be grateful she was invited.

How do you know she wasn't then apricotcrumble?

Jonbb · 20/05/2018 11:25

I really like VB. She has done well in business and I have no doubt she is the brains behind David Beckham and his business interests. I suspect she has outgrown him.

Apricotcrumble · 20/05/2018 11:37

GreatDuckCookery

Ok, if you insist on going on about this, do YOU think she looked grateful to be there?

From my point of view, anyone whose ever invited to ANY wedding should be grateful that the Bride and Groom have chosen to invite them to their special day.

Now, considering this was a Royal Wedding (where getting an invite would be a dream for many many people), I will say again, she should''ve at least made an effort to not appear like a moody cow! .... now I didn't mean that she should have 'appeared' grateful, i meant that she should BE grateful for the invite and her facial expression looked as if she couldn't be arsed being there.

I'm not going to explain myself again to you as we're just going around in circles.

MrsDilber · 20/05/2018 11:41

She hasn't always been like this, I remember watching a documentary she made (before the clothing line started), and she came across as so funny and warm. I think she started to scowl publicly as brand Beckham grew and it's just that, a front. Could've packed it away for a wedding mind 😂

Jonbb · 20/05/2018 11:43

Good God, how some of you people love to be negative about other women. I really don't think anybody has any idea about how VB felt and what she thought.

Sallystyle · 20/05/2018 11:47

Don't be ridiculous, nothing to do with it, she looks miserable, when you're happy you don't go round with a face like a slapoed arse, there's no animation even.

I think you are the one being ridiculous, not me.

I think I do look miserable at times. I have many photos of me looking pissed off. I am happy, I am not miserable but when the camera is on me I can't smile and end up looking pissed off.

I smile and I am animated in conversation, but if I am just sitting at a wedding I will look very similar to Victoria. Just no where near as pretty.

And if she is miserable then that is really sad isn't it?

daisychain01 · 20/05/2018 11:48

I actually felt that she was worried about her husband’s health and couldn’t hide it

Yes. The sadness was etched on her face. I do hope Philip rallies and they have some more time together. There's never enough time is there ....

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 20/05/2018 11:50

I can't comment on whether she was grateful to be there because that would be silly. I don't know her, I don't know what's going on in her life right now, I don't know why she looked sad.

I do know that she never smiles while out in public so wasn't really surprised not to see a smile plastered on her face. I also know that she doesn't like the way she looks when she smiles ( if that is true of course )

Picking apart and being unduly mean about someone you don't know is odd and says a lot about the person doing it.

I have seen many interviews over the years where she comes across as good fun and really quite nice so I'll stick with those views thanks.

BusterGonad · 20/05/2018 11:50

I cannot believe the amount of hatred towards a woman that non of you lot even know, it's funny that she's well dressed, Rich, handsome husband, great job, lovely kids, a wardrobe to die for, make up collaboration with Estée Lauder, and apparently has a great sense of humor. Of course she's ripe for the picking.

MightyMucks · 20/05/2018 12:11

I think she started to scowl publicly as brand Beckham grew and it's just that, a front.

She’s done it since the Spice Girls. I think it was a front back then, I think it’s a mask for genuine unhappiness now though.

It’s so sad. She seems to adore her family and be prepared to do anything to keep it together even if it makes her really unhappy.

Apricotcrumble · 20/05/2018 12:16

I don't think people are being negative because of hatred or jealousy or because she's 'ripe for the picking' because she's got the money/wardrobe/kids/career/husband or whatever .... It's because she came across at a Wedding of all places as a bloody miserable/mardy woman!

There's lots of other women who you could say 'have it all', such as Mrs Clooney, but no ones 'picked' on her have they? ... thats because she appears likeable and pleasant, in my opinion, unlike VB.

VB was the only one who looked a misery. And the way she appeared, to me, was disrespectful. She was at a Wedding FFS, not a funeral!

Aragog · 20/05/2018 12:16

The odd photo and clip of her inside the chapel talking to people she knows show her to look quite animated and cheery, not sad or grumpy.

BusterGonad · 20/05/2018 12:26

Why CB though Apricot? Why not another guest? Why is everyone so quick to jump on the VB hate bandwagon? Not everyone as a cheery happy joyful face. Hence why builders shout 'cheer up love'.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 20/05/2018 12:27

Agree Aragog, I saw a clip of her chatting to James Blunt and Elton John where seemed smiley and chatty. She was talking to the woman next to her in the service too, smiling and nodding.

VB was the only one who looked a misery. And the way she appeared, to me, was disrespectful. She was at a Wedding FFS, not a funeral! What about the Queen, apricot? I didn't see her smile once

Do you think she was miserable and ungrateful to be there too?

BusterGonad · 20/05/2018 12:34

VB.

Apricotcrumble · 20/05/2018 12:51

Why VB though Apricot? Why not another guest?

The clues in the title. This thread is about VB!
Now, if there was a thread about the Queen, I may decide to write on that also.
