AIBU To think Victoria Beckham is a right mardy, stroppy looking mare. Anybody see the way she was looking out the corner of her eye at the crowds. Not a hint of a smile.

Ozwald Boateng, the designer, was on ITV earlier and said her dress was very well cut.

StealthPolarBear · 19/05/2018 21:43

Yes she probably knew she needed to wear something for people to hate :o

Itchytights · 19/05/2018 21:45

It’s for the camera. Brand VB.

Once she was inside she was very chatty and tactile with other guests and appeared happy enough.

I thought she looked lovely

StealthPolarBear · 19/05/2018 21:47

I hope she's happy. If she isn't she's wasting loads of her life being unhappy

RedDwarves · 19/05/2018 21:49

She was avoiding David’s attempts at getting her attention through the ceremony, so it does seem like they might’ve fallen out.

But I like Victoria, and the fact that she didn’t smile when the camera happened to be on her doesn’t bother me.

GreatDuckCookery6211 · 19/05/2018 21:50

She does look totally po faced and she needs to get over it

You she may just be being herself?

Cousinit · 19/05/2018 21:51

I know she doesn't normally smile but this was different. I actually felt sorry for her. She seemed very uncomfortable and nervous to me. She gave the impression of a deeply unhappy person. But then I wouldn't be either if I was married to that shit.

stopfuckingshoutingatme · 19/05/2018 22:07

I’m also betting they have had a HUGE fall out beforehand

Also agree she needs MN wisdom re her DH
I admire her actually

Must have been a hard day if not in a good mood

Boredandtired · 19/05/2018 22:12

Isn't it a bit off to speculate about him cheating? She does look really unhappy with him at the wedding but isn't this all a bit harsh?

kierenthecommunity · 19/05/2018 22:29

I didn’t see her on TV as I was working but on the back of this thread I had a nosy at the snaps on the BBC website. The one on there, I think she actually doesn’t look well. She appears to be grimacing slightly.

I know someone who’s met her IRL and like others says she’s really sweet but surprisingly shy.

EachandEveryone · 19/05/2018 22:30

You need to watch E! On sky. I can tell you she wasnt miserable at all. There was a big bloke with a beard i dont know who he was but her eyes lit up when she saw him and she literally ran to him and was chatting ten to the dozen. Shes very animated when she doesnt know the cameras on her.

MsGameandWatching · 19/05/2018 23:31

I am not "speculating" that he's cheated, I know that he has.

biscuitraider · 19/05/2018 23:38

If he's constantly cheating on her why the hell doesn't she leave him. The man doesn't deserve a wife. I don't find him attractive either.

Queenoftheblitz · 19/05/2018 23:44

I am not "speculating" that he's cheated, I know that he has.

Been at it for years. Probably gets checked out for knob rot monthly.

PaintedHorizons · 19/05/2018 23:45

I loved the dress. So smart, so stylish. Adored the orange shoes. Thought she looked great. Nervous maybe and a bit self-conscious but fine. And I wouldn't rip another woman, (or man for that matter),to shreds for not fucking grinning.

"Cheer up love - it might never happen" Was I sick of that comment as a girl. (They don't bother now because I am invisible)

PaintedHorizons · 19/05/2018 23:46

How do you know? - unless it was with you.

HerMajestysSecret · 20/05/2018 00:00

paintedhorizons I don't think anyone has suggested she ought to be grinning. Just perhaps ever so slightly turning up the corners of her mouth so she doesn't look so depressed when passing by thousands of happy, waving, smiling, well-wishers on a lovely, sunny, cheerful day on the way into someone's wedding.

So not a grin, but maybe just not such a terribly sombre, sullen expression.

biscuitraider · 20/05/2018 00:17

Exactly Hermajesty why do people keep going on about how we expect her to be grinning like a cheshire cat. You can just have a pleasant look on your face. Why the hell is it "ripping someone to shreds" to make this observation.
I hate the statement too, as if being a woman makes one immune from any kind of criticism. Bonkers.

Storminateapot · 20/05/2018 00:55

The guy with the beard she was chatting to was Kirsty Young's husband, she was presenting the BBC footage at the time & commented he was her 'old man' and her daughter was there too. VB looked very touchy feely with him, they obviously are good friends.

I still think she looked more unhappy than the impassive expressionless face she usually adopts. She reminded me of how Princess Diana used to look towards the end of her marriage when she could no longer reliably hide her feelings.

However, if those of you who mix in similar school circles are correct in your assessment of his fidelity then I can't say I blame her, poor woman.

bridgetoc · 20/05/2018 01:03

Just because someone looks moody doesn't mean that they are........

My DH is a lovely, gentle, laid back and happy person. However, he can look proper grumpy.

A tramp told him to cheer up the other day. Thing is, we were having a great day out at the time.Grin

americanlife · 20/05/2018 05:04

I like her and hear good things from people who have dealings with her. She is a stunning woman when she does not smile- she looks more ordinary when she smiles and she knows it. Loved her outfit today- very classy. I do not get the vitriol. Just seems like a private woman who refuses to just gurn for the public- and why should she?

Undercoverbanana · 20/05/2018 07:15

I find it hard to believe that DB is a serial philanderer. Surely the paps would be all over it. As sleb royalty they must follow him everywhere, waiting for a slip-up.

Dozer · 20/05/2018 07:17

David Beckham came across VERY badly on Desert Island Discs, very fake. Even before the unpleasant emails about charity works etc.

StealthPolarBear · 20/05/2018 07:24

Isn't that where super injunctions come in

Dozer · 20/05/2018 07:26

Payments to the people concerned can prevent people selling stories.

There is loads of stuff on Blind Gossip.
