AIBU to think this is an indent line not bfp

Posting in here for the traffic...

Apologies for how gross tests always look when taken out of the case. Ignore that. But this is a colourless indent line, right? Not a BFP.

Looks like a faint positive to me.

BananasAreTheSourceOfEvil · 30/04/2018 16:05

Looks like a faint bfp to me also

Another who can see a bfp.

Congratulations?

RosyPrimroseface · 30/04/2018 16:07

faint bfp.

RosyPrimroseface · 30/04/2018 16:08

but- how old is the test? If you spent more than 10 mins taking the test apart then it might be a false +

steff13 · 30/04/2018 16:09

I see a line. Why do people take the tests apart?

SoyDora · 30/04/2018 16:12

Looks like a faint positive to me too.

flowerpicture · 30/04/2018 16:14

So I could see the indent line through the case but my paranoia got the better of me so I cracked it open to check. Time between taking the test, deciding it's an indent, opening it and taking the pic was about 5 mins. I've just gone to look at it now after an hour and there's definite pink developed but I know that can happen when an exposed test strip is left to dry, so I'm discounting that. I won't bother taking a new pic.

Problem is I only just had a c section. And we've been careful!!

If you've taken the test apart the result can't be relied upon.

Have you got another test?

Karmin · 30/04/2018 16:16

After an hour it may be an evaporation line

flowerpicture · 30/04/2018 16:18

I know. I'm discounting how it looks now after an hour. I'm referring only to the pic above, which was 5 minutes.

I don't have another test handy, no.

Elvisola · 30/04/2018 16:18

If you just had a c section could it not be residual hcg from previous pregnancy?

Thingsthatgo · 30/04/2018 16:20

That’s a bfp. Congratulations!

flowerpicture · 30/04/2018 16:21

No, this is the third test I've taken in the last week. The other 2 were 100% bfn.

By just had a section, I mean 4 months ago.

Nodancingshoes · 30/04/2018 16:21

Its a line, congratulations !

Elvisola · 30/04/2018 16:21

Ahh ok, definitely bfp then. My early ones looked like that.

nippey · 30/04/2018 16:24

Looks like a BFP to me!

rainbowstardrops · 30/04/2018 16:28

Looks like a BFP but I'd definitely test again asap and not pull it apart or anything

flowerpicture · 30/04/2018 16:32

Right I've just done the maths. I know I was on my period over Easter weekend and leading up to it because I completely missed Easter due to being in bed with the flu and I remember being on my period through it. I have long periods so let's assume my CD1 was about March 28.

The last time DH and I had sex was April 9.

I've not had a period since, but I did have one random smear of pink blood about 2 weeks ago.

Now even accounting for the possibility of sperm potentially surviving for up to 5 days in my body -- the dates just don't work, right? I must've missed ovulation by a mile, and if I didn't, I would've had a bfp ages ago. Not this faint one now so late. Right?

Idontdowindows · 30/04/2018 16:32

I see a line.

honeyishrunkthekid · 30/04/2018 16:34

Go and buy another test? Looks like a faint positive to me and not an indent line

flowerpicture · 30/04/2018 16:35

I can't until morning. I'm going to see if himself can pick me one up tonight after work if he finishes early enough. I can do FMU then.

xLeanne128 · 30/04/2018 16:36

That is a faint line... not an evap in my opinion x

Bigbertha123 · 30/04/2018 16:38

Congratulations it’s a BFP!
