AIBU to think this is an indent line not bfp

Posting in here for the traffic...

Apologies for how gross tests always look when taken out of the case. Ignore that. But this is a colourless indent line, right? Not a BFP.

I can definitely see the line.

I have just looked up "how long can sperm live for" and yes NHS day up to 7 days. I really thought it was 5. We have had a contraception failure after dtd 5 days before ovulation and I am currently pregnant. So 5 days does definitely happen and you are supposed to be super fertile after having a baby so in your case perhaps the 7 days is accurate....

Definitely take another test.

swingofthings · 30/04/2018 18:01

well if you do feel sickly and it reminds you of your other pregnancies, that does add to the other possibilities. Have your periods come back regularly? Are you still breastfeeding?

flowerpicture · 30/04/2018 18:01

You know it's not even about being pregnant so soon after my second section. I'm sure my body would cope. It's just that it took years of losses and fertility treatments to get DS2 that it can't possibly be that easy to get the definitely much wanted DC3 😯

Placemarking. I would like it to be BFP if it's safe for it to be! But I can also see the indentation at the top and bottom of the line so it does make me think that also ....

Pizzame · 30/04/2018 18:03

Girl sperm apparantly survives longer than boy sperm (dunno how true it is but I'm putting my tenner on it being a girl 😁)

flowerpicture · 30/04/2018 18:03

Due to complications I didn't breastfeed this time, swing. And yes I've had two definite periods after the post-partum bleeding stopped. I didn't bleed for long at all! Then first period was heavy and terrible and the second period about 25 days later I think was normal.

Yes I am leaning towards it being an indent/evap also. My usual cycles before the last pregnancy were about 30-33 days so I guess I can't even really say my period is late? Idk. We'll see tomorrow.

OP posts:
DwangelaForever · 30/04/2018 18:05

I can deffo see a faint positive in first pic and the fact it's dried in with colour makes me think it's not an evap! Good luck! A couple I know struggled with their first and had to have IVF and fell pregnant naturally second time around!

You are so much more fertile after you've had a baby - it took ages for us with our first and I fell pregnant whilst on the pill (perfect use) at 4 months postpartum last year (sadly ended in a mc). Fell pregnant with this one two cycles after coming off my pill this time!

Runawaycat · 30/04/2018 18:10

Ehhh, looks like you're pregnant

Bumbumtaloo · 30/04/2018 18:10

I’m another who doesn’t usually see the lines but I saw it quite clearly (am on my mobile too).

glueandstick · 30/04/2018 18:11

I wouldn’t be packing away any of those newborn clothes any time soon if I were you....

MissMooMoo · 30/04/2018 18:16

It looks like a BFP to me!
I had a baby last May and cycles are still very irregular.

MissDuke · 30/04/2018 18:16

You have had unprotected sex so of course it could be possible that you are pregnant. Going by your period maths, you should have had your period by today really, based on a 30-33 day cycle? You should have ovulated around the 13th-16th roughly depending on if it was going to be a 30 or a 33 day cycle. You had sex on the 9th so ovulation would have been 4-7 days later (so himself's boyos may have still been swimming merrily around). It is possible, unlikely yes, but possible that you could have become pregnant then.

In my opinion your test should be counted as inconclusive and repeated in a few days. However I suspect you could well get a BFP on the next test. Good luck Shamrock I look forward to an update Flowers

TammySwansonTwo · 30/04/2018 18:22

I have no idea what it’s like because my husband was not allowed within ten feet of my bits for nearly a year after my c section - so bravo from me!

Hope you get the result you want, although you may be in trouble with your consultant - mine told me very sternly to wait a year after my emcs. I took one look at my twins, then looked back at him and laughed my ass off.

ISpeakJive · 30/04/2018 18:25

To be honest OP, I think many m’netters will not admit when they haven’t used protection but will instead say ‘contraception failure’. It’s refreshing to read an honest account for a change.

I think it really does look like a BFP to me.

Many congratulations. 🤩

TawnyPort · 30/04/2018 18:27

Well thats a contraception failure of its own, isn't it? Failure to use any when you should have done!

GrimSqueaker · 30/04/2018 18:27

It's just that it took years of losses and fertility treatments to get DS2 that it can't possibly be that easy to get the definitely much wanted DC3

I refer you to the post earlier where it was 6 years of dedicated trying for DD1... and one flipping bonk for DD2!

OddestSock · 30/04/2018 18:30

My 6 year old is the result of sex 7 days before ovulation.

I just hadn't had sex for a year! Himself had his knob out! You know how it is.

Hahaaa!! This really made me laugh! It does look like a faint bfp to me, too....but if it isn't, I bet you start trying properly! Grin

youthrewmysandwichAWAY · 30/04/2018 18:35

Nah theres no colour I’d not worry yet. Try again in 2 days.

Mooey89 · 30/04/2018 18:38

That’s a BFP

Addy2 · 30/04/2018 18:40

Sperm can live for seven days, that's why you have to use protection for a week if you miss a pill. Hope you get the result you want, OP.

GymBot · 30/04/2018 18:43

Wowzers a small gap if you are! Lovely Smile

SleepFreeZone · 30/04/2018 18:43

It does look like a BFP OP. Hope you get the result you want 💐
