(I'm not too keen on John either - but at least he's a chef - although judging by his surprise and wonderment at the dishes he eats in other restaurants, not a very inventive one.)

I much prefer Greg to sneering Torode; why does Torode do that condescending slow blinking? It reminds me of a big fish, like the grouper at the London Aquarium.

How do we know he's got a penchant for spanking and porn? Genuine question, as I haven't followed the judges that closely and have only recently got into Masterchef.

Thing is if he is there as the normal, non-poncy guy who's not a chef and no skill but has passion= fine. But he's clearly got above his station i.e. last night, with some extremely rare, delicate ingredients in Peru "EVEN I haven't seen some of these ingredients before" ...like wow mate .
Its also totally clear John cant stand him. Dynamic has gone.

I still love the show though, I love any series featuring bog standard people off the street and watching them develop. However it needs updating, especially with near every meal being meat/2 veg even in fancy form. They've never had a veggie contestant cooking only vegetarian food on there for eg. With a massive swing/trend towards vegetarianism and veganism the show should be more diverse.

Hate it when they say "I like it a lot" exactly like Jim Carey's character Lloyd Christmas in Dumb and Dumber.

& BTW if you want the best cooking show- watch the next Aussie season of My Kitchen Rules on Sky- its heads and shoulders above any cooking show on here.
