I tried to be responsible and took cash in to the bank to pay most of my loan off and they wouldn't accept it!! huh! so I said I'll spend it then, he said he'd put a block on it so I couldn't get it out!!!!! apparently there was some SMALL PRINT that said you can't part pay the loan, the bank manager (NAT WEST) then told me to go and look on the internet for the cheapest loan to pay his loan off completely! because I couldn't afford his offer!!!!!!!

actually this is one of those crappy 'cool' topics again that we should really have grown out of
after all we're all disgusted by children who take the piss out of our children because they like to 'read' or like 'science' or 'maths' .. Oh yes from our lofty adult perspective we can appreciate that actually the children who enjoy studying are far better placed to succeed (not uniquely though of course) .. but we are proud of this aspect of our children and laugh patronisingly at the children who strive to be cool knowing that when all's said and done its a bit pathetic really
seems like the same kind of thing really

I once stood for hours behind a friend of mine at the cinema as she stood at the counter, holding everyone up, writing in her chequebook the exact date, time and amount she had just paid for her two cinema tickets.
Honestly life's too short.
Also I find that the people who are good with money tend to be the people who least need to be. Rich fuckers.

I found living with a man whom I constantly had to bail out financially very boring, actually. I really resent the idea that because I don't have an overdraft I am by definition a respectable, sensible, suburban matron who clearly can never have had any fun whatsoever and is incapable of thinking any kind of creative thought.

But do you know who has money and who hasn't? I mean if you went out shopping with a friend who bought something would you know if she was buying it on credit or with money that she had? I wouldn't for most of my friends. So surely there isno cool or uncool?!

just in its continuation of teenage 'cool' into the adult arena .. I find it slightly sad to be honest
it is not cool to be in debt
it is also not cool to not know whether or not you're living within your means
but that's just my viewpoint .. and I am patently boring because I take the time to give a toss
