Missed flight. Next cheapest is 380. Can anyone find a way to get me to Dublin by 8pm today? Plane, train, automobile?

AnathemaPulsifer · 29/03/2018 13:04

Where from??

YourWanMajella · 29/03/2018 13:04

From where?

ChazsBrilliantAttitude · 29/03/2018 13:04

Where are you now?

BookWitch · 29/03/2018 13:04

Where are you coming from?

If you can't afford the 380, try another airport?
Drive and take the Holyhead ferry?

HollyBayTree · 29/03/2018 13:05

Ferry ? not a lot of help when you dont say where you are travelling from

FlirtyRomanticToast · 29/03/2018 13:05

Get the 65B

Naoko · 29/03/2018 13:05

You can buy a combo train/ferry ticket via Holyhead. They're usually fairly reasonably priced.

ItsAllFun · 29/03/2018 13:07

Sorry, not thinking straight, from London

Also note your return flight may be invalid if you didn't use the outward leg.

Try other flights from different airports? Get train, bus, car, whatever's possible to airport.

AnathemaPulsifer · 29/03/2018 13:12

SEN is Southend. Maybe go search on Kayak or Opodo yourself?

Clickncollect · 29/03/2018 13:12

I'm currently at London City waiting for the 1.50 flight out on Cityjet. There are other flights after that though.

Rainatnight · 29/03/2018 13:13

Google London Dublin sail rail, but it'll probably be too slow if 8pm is a hard deadline?

Have you checked other airports?

PestoSurfissimos · 29/03/2018 13:13

There’s quite a few flights from Gatwick to Dublin today, various carriers.

ExFury · 29/03/2018 13:13

The 1840 is from London Southend

You can get an aer lingus flight this afternoon or a city jet as well, but cheapest is 380 pounds. No flights cheaper than that until tomorrow.

Train and ferry isn't going to get you there by 8pm.

You can get to Belfast by 6pm but again its almost 350 pounds.

If you have to be there by 8pm you can do it but its going to cost you.

AnathemaPulsifer · 29/03/2018 13:16

Don't think ferry will work today, the one you can get to is full. Note also that Holyhead-Ireland was 2nd worst ferry journey of my life. Rough as.

Flybe from Southampton. 1845, lands 2005. £296.

There is one at 1430 for under £200, but you won't make it.
