I am FURIOUS

Ordered the weekly shop and it hasn’t turned up. Delivery time was 3-4 pm. No call to say it wasnt coming
Managed to get hold of them and it’s apparently not coming but they’ve taken the money £194. !!!!!!!

Now I have no shopping and no money to go elsewhere to get any they won’t refund today it will be 2-5 days

If they can take it today why can’t they refund it today

I've heard of this happening before with Tesco. What was their reason why they couldn't deliver?

OnlineshoppingDisaster · 10/03/2018 18:30

No real reason they said they couldn’t contact the driver and said they were busy ????

That's awful. Have they got a Twitter or Facebook page? If you can make a public complaint that they can see, they might be more inclined to sort out the problem.

Whatshallidonowpeople · 10/03/2018 18:31

Don't accept it. Make a nuisance of yourself

Avasarala · 10/03/2018 18:31

Can't you go down to the shop and kick up as big a fuss as you can yo make them give you the stuff you've paid for from their shelves? I've no idea how online grocery shopping works!

OnlineshoppingDisaster · 10/03/2018 18:31

I dont have twitter or Facebook

WhyBeDennyDifferent · 10/03/2018 18:32

I’ve always found Tesco customer service to be really good. Have you tweeted them?

£194 for a weeks food though?!

PeerieBreeks · 10/03/2018 18:32

They will refund it today, but the prices takes longer, so it will be 2 to 5 days till it reaches your bank account. That bit isn't Tesco's fault.

But couldn't they have attached another delivery, even if it was tomorrow?

WhyBeDennyDifferent · 10/03/2018 18:32

X post. Make a fake Twitter if needs be. It’s the best way to get them to sort it out.

OnlineshoppingDisaster · 10/03/2018 18:32

They offered a £25 voucher that’s all but they’ve taken £194
I’ve got a newborn and ds is unwell I can’t get out. I’m absolutely furious

OP posts:
PeerieBreeks · 10/03/2018 18:33

*process not prices

BrioLover · 10/03/2018 18:33

I'd call them again - they've always been v good when it comes to sorting late deliveries (and have sent me flowers to apologise before). Ask if you can collect your shop from your local superstore and demand money off.

Make a Twitter account and use that if no joy.

GooodMythicalMorning · 10/03/2018 18:33

Complain again

OnlineshoppingDisaster · 10/03/2018 18:33

I ordered loads of nappies etc it’s the first time I’ve done such a large order and this happens 😳

OnlineshoppingDisaster · 10/03/2018 18:34

I want to cry

OP posts:
BrioLover · 10/03/2018 18:35

Ah just saw that you can't get out - then I'd call back and ask to speak to that person's manager.

OnlineshoppingDisaster · 10/03/2018 18:35

Was trying to be organised

OP posts:
BrioLover · 10/03/2018 18:51

Did you call Tesco again? Cry if you want - that might get you a delivery today at least Grin

OnlineshoppingDisaster · 10/03/2018 18:54

Haven’t been able to get through yet still waiting. They did say how busy they were so I’m probably not the only one

OP posts:
pappajonessecretchild · 10/03/2018 18:55

our order was cancelled last friday due to bad weather, get that. dont want anyone going out in bad weather just to deliver food, but we STILL have not got the money back in our account. luckily we had the money to buy food last week, and also for this week.. we have been on to them, who say blah blah its the bank.. but its not on pending transactions and clearly they managed to take yesterdays amount out but not able to put the money from last week in!

OnlineshoppingDisaster · 10/03/2018 18:56

They said the first time about a 3+ hour delay so they must have known and then to not let us know and to take the money then to call back and say it won’t be delivered but they can’t refund today ?

OP posts:
OnlineshoppingDisaster · 10/03/2018 18:57

It’s ridiculous they take the money when it hasn’t been delivered

And what happens to all the food ? I’m assuming it was out for delivery ? So do they throw the fresh stuff away ? They couldn’t even get hold of the driver apparently

OP posts:
AuntFidgetWonkhamStrongNajork · 10/03/2018 18:57

Their site says they are "experiencing a reduction in delivery slots" - excellent use of the passive tensemble there. If the stuff is on the van surely it's easier for them to deliver it than waste it?
