Just having a conversation with my teenage daughter who's off school for the next couple of days. Don't understand their language. What are 'toos'

A cigarette shared between two?

Yarboosucks · 28/02/2018 22:46

A male individual who served as an ensign aboard the Galactic Empire's first Death Star

QueenNefertitty · 28/02/2018 22:47

BeastFromTheEast · 28/02/2018 22:49

Dirty toos? Vomit? I don't think that it what she's going on about!

steff13 · 28/02/2018 22:50

Oh that's vile. And a great way to get some sort of infection, I'd imagine. Yuck.

MargotLovedTom1 · 28/02/2018 22:51
Hmm
Yarboosucks · 28/02/2018 22:51

Probably a good thing!

BeastFromTheEast · 28/02/2018 22:52

I don't think its anything along those lines. She said she had to do PE in her toos because she didn't have her PE kit. It doesn't make any sense to me?

No idea! I’m dreading the teenage years, I can hardly keep up with my 8 year olds abbreviated terminology never mind a teenagers.... teenagers are tenacious and sneaky and smarter than their parents, I’m not envious! 😖

Hopefully MN can shed some light.

DalekDalekDalek · 28/02/2018 22:54

Dirty toos? Never heard of that!

Shock

Are you Scottish? Did you miss hear ‘troos’? As in troosers? (Trousers)

BeastFromTheEast · 28/02/2018 22:58

Not Scottish. North East, though

OP posts:
RitaMills · 28/02/2018 23:04

Scottish friends? Or is our Scottish slang suddenly becoming cool? 😎 ... sorry I mean ‘epic’ as cool is now uncool, apparently.

Snowysky20009 · 28/02/2018 23:07

Umm just ask her?

BeastFromTheEast · 28/02/2018 23:11

She said toos as in Sainsburys. What's she going on about?

OP posts:
confuzzled42 · 28/02/2018 23:13

Why don’t you just ask her and put us all out of our misery?
