Well whatever it means, sounds better than - doing it in my Nutmegs- Morrisons, snigger

CrochetBelle · 28/02/2018 23:31

Are you the pervert who only ever posts about teenage girls having to do PE in their underwear? Hmm

Apple23 · 28/02/2018 23:32

Uniform - from No. 2s (military) dress uniform - as opposed to No. 1s ceremonial uniform?

ElenOfTheWays · 28/02/2018 23:34

I'm starting to suspect she doesn't know what she means either. Just something she's picked up on at school without w/o wanting to ask what it means. Hence the vague answers.

RitaMills · 28/02/2018 23:35

Must be a metaphor for cheap clothing, as in supermarket clothing = cheap. TU rolls off the tongue better and sounds better than George or F&F, which I guess to a teenager is embarrassing.

SpitefulMidLifeAnimal · 28/02/2018 23:36

She said she had to do PE in her toos because she didn't have her PE kit. It doesn't make any sense to me?

Makes perfect sense to me, I can see exactly what is happening here...

Hmm
honeysucklejasmine · 28/02/2018 23:38

My thoughts exactly Crochet.

TattyFrench · 28/02/2018 23:45

I think Apple23 is right. She had to do PE in her uniform, all the kids call inform 'two's' but they don't know why and your DD thinking they're referencing Sainsbury's is how she makes sense of it.
Tell her the origin and then tell her you've spoken ken to her Head and they are delighted that you, her lovely mother, is soon to give an all school assembly on the etymology of 'two's'. Or just tell your DD why uniform=two's and let her revel in the righteous glory of truly knowing what "I had to do PE in my two's' means.

Tattybogle89 · 28/02/2018 23:46

I don’t think op is getting the answers they want..

ToothyMcPuthy · 28/02/2018 23:53

Just ask her to explain what she means.

Hmm
IlikemyTeahot · 28/02/2018 23:54

apple that was my line of thought....But I was still wondering (worrying) what op's dd's twos actually were

clumsyduck · 28/02/2018 23:55

Right can you just go ask her because I want to know
Thanks Wink

Houseworkavoider · 28/02/2018 23:57

I would guess she means shoes. As in ‘ones and twos’ =shoes.

house that actally makes the most sence i had to do pe in my shoes on many occassions (i was shit at pe and even worse at not loosing the damn kit) id either i could get together a spare teeshirt and tracksuit bottoms from my friends or out of the skanky pe kit bin, but finding something to wear on my feet would be more problematic, so barefoot if it was indoor pe or shoes if it was games.

I'm guessing ops daughter not being aware ofcthe orgins of the soang has tried to make sence of it and found tu.

I thunk its more likely to be that than the milarty suggestion unless her pe teacher is ex army which is posuable i guess

iTonya · 01/03/2018 11:32

Maybe in the impenetrable world of teenager trends, £8 plimsoles from Tu at Sainsburys have suddenly become the must-have item that everyone is getting, and taking to school in their bags to put on at break. Hence, having to do PE in her Tus.

Next week, it could be scarves from Peacocks, or maybe even pink dresses from M&S. The more bizarre to the aged eye, the better.
