Songs you Hate

On the themes currently running through Mumsnet at the moment, I have a total hatred of 2 songs, not just dislike/turn off the radion but actual cringe when I hear them played at parties and will walk off the dance floor....I dislike them so much!

My most HATED is Robin S - Show me Love - it gives me the chills!

Closely followed by 'You Got The Love'
Candi Staton/Florence/whomever else thinks it's a good idea to cover this drivel!

Love Shack by the B52s - always hated it. The tune, the vocals, everything.

Also, that song by The Fugees that had the line 'One Time, Two Times, Three Times, Four Times' - by the time it got to 'Four Times', I was ready to throw something.

Your Song. Dreadful tosh made far worse in bad cover versions (looking particularly at you, Ellie Goulding).

Relight My Fire. Gives me a rushing feel in my jaw just like spiders do. Bleurgh.

It Started with a Kiss by Hot Chocolate. Creepy af.

Don't know what it's called but there was a song released some time in the last decade that had a line like 'just give me my hug' in. Was all about breaking up but this creep just wouldn't stop insisting on more physical contact before he'd finally fuck off. Gave me the total heebie-jeebies.

Angels by Robbie Williams. Not sure why. Just cringe.

Definitely agree with the Fugees and their 'many times' shite. Majorly irritating. Just Fuck off already!

Man's not hot. Big Shaq I think? Maybe I've just finally reached an age where some stuff is all a bit Emporors new clothes to me...

Doris I hated Queen growing up. Still think bo rap is the most overrated song in the entire world. But Freddie had magnificent vocals.

My dp listens to some sort of pirate song about sea men (obviously a euphemism) and one about a man putting bananas away and getting tea all over his balls
He has very questionable taste.

Bohemian Rhapsody is three poor songs inexpertly knife and forked together with over the top guitar noodling

I can't stand 'You Got The Love' either. If it comes on the radio I immediately turn it over regardless of which version they're playing; they're all shite.

Same goes for anything by Jess Glynne, particularly the one that kept repeating 'I'm ready for this' and anything by the King of Whiny Voices, Sam Smith. Galway Girl gives me the rage too, of course all us Irish women drink Jameson and play the fucking fiddle.
