To think someone who opposes same sex marriage and is against pro choice, even after rape is being sited as next PM. Is this not scraping the barrel?!

He will never be PM! It's just the Brexiteers getting over-excited.
Disclaimer: I once thought that Trump would never be President...

MrsTerryPratchett · 01/02/2018 23:45

A fine choice for PM in the 1900s. Not so much now.

Cantshedmymuffintop · 01/02/2018 23:47

MrsTerryPratchett 😂😂😂

just as scary as Jezzer

toffee1000 · 01/02/2018 23:50

I could’ve sworn he once said he didn’t want to be PM and was happy to take a back seat.
The PM is usually someone who’s been in the cabinet, which he hasn’t.

He would be fucking hideous as PM. In the event of it happening (very very unlikely I hope) I would leave the country. Unfortunately Brexit would complicate all that, so...

SusanWalker · 01/02/2018 23:51

For some reason he always reminds me of the demon headmaster. I think it's the glasses.

Bejazzled · 01/02/2018 23:55

Not as bad as Corbyn though

Bluelady · 01/02/2018 23:55

The prospect of Rees-Mog as PM turns my blood cold.

I think against corbyn moderate conservatives would vote for him which is a scary thought.

FannyWisdom · 02/02/2018 00:21

The bookies fancy him.

Domino20 · 02/02/2018 00:22

I'm actually frightened that someone could thing Rees Mog could be preferable to Corbyn? Mind boggles!

MrsTerryPratchett · 02/02/2018 01:52

Pro-forced birth. Not pro-life. Let's call it what it is; forcing women to be pregnant and give birth.

MrsTerryPratchett · 02/02/2018 01:54

Oh and just because I think RM is a horrible, backward, misogynistic wankbadger does not mean I think Corbyn is great. He's a twunt too. Lesser of two evils though.

RockinHippy · 02/02/2018 02:03

YADNBU

Topseyt · 02/02/2018 02:07

He would be dreadful. I'd even say that I prefer Theresa May, and I think she too is pretty awful.

Clem7 · 02/02/2018 02:17

Ironically, he’s actually one of the strongest arguments in favour of abortion.

WendyHadWings · 02/02/2018 02:18

Mr Rees-Mogg is articulate, smiley and polite. His beliefs are a bit old-fashioned but sincerely held. They aren’t my beliefs, but I also believe in tolerance. He’s moderately good-looking for a politician and as far as we know he is honest.

That qualifies him to be a gadfly backbencher. Nothing more. The idea he could be a Minister is preposterous and talk of him being Prime Minister is insane.

bluelion23 · 02/02/2018 02:26

'Pro-forced birth. Not pro-life. Let's call it what it is; forcing women to be pregnant and give birth.' and lets call pro choice what it is pro death make no mistake every abortion causes the death of the mothers child.

'Ironically, he’s actually one of the strongest arguments in favour of abortion.' please explain this comment some would infer your condoning the death of a politician.

Topseyt · 02/02/2018 02:37

Yes, he comes across as smiley and polite, but I would like his smile to a rictus grin.

Topseyt · 02/02/2018 02:38

Liken, not like. Bloody auto-correct.

MrsTerryPratchett · 02/02/2018 02:51

And every time you don't donate a kidney or part of your liver, someone dies. So we should force you to donate your organs, blood etc. Force you. Because someone might die. But hold on; bodily autonomy...

laudanum · 02/02/2018 02:54

He's terrible full stop. Vile man.

DunedinGirl · 02/02/2018 03:14

Oh dear. Definitely a man designed to be a backbench MP.

BTW. If you're pro-life as opposed to pro-forced birth I assume you also feel that society should ensure that all children start on an equal footing in terms of education and healthcare, and that you also think the death penalty is wrong?

bluelion23 · 02/02/2018 03:32

'And every time you don't donate a kidney or part of your liver, someone dies. So we should force you to donate your organs, blood etc. Force you. Because someone might die. But hold on; bodily autonomy...' err thats not true your being disingenuous or stupid one abortion you are actively killing your baby not giving your kidney the person dies of kidney disease not the choice of another person.

and secondly bodily autonomy has nothing to do with it as a fetus is in the mother but not part of the mother if it was part of the mother they would have the same sex the same dna and the same blood type.
