To be annoyed that the walnut from a walnut whip has vanished :(

...and is replaced with a blob of chocolate. Really bloody gutted. Seemingly they have been like this since August. I buy them from time to time but got gifted a pack of three from my dh who knows I love them and felt short changed. They are also no longer called a walnut whip!!! Just a whip!!! Seemingly its the price of walnuts. Cheap skates!

Yes, I am fairly old and remember the inside walnut! M&S used to do a delicious dark choc mint whip too.

Does anyone remember when the chocolate was piped? Never been the same since they stopped making them that way.

I don't think I remember them being piped. Does that mean they changed the middle bit? Was it more creamy like icing?

Yes many years ago there was a walnut at the bottom too. And now no walnut at all. They might as well rename it walnutless whip.

First they came for the Highland Toffee. And I did not speak up, for I was not a Highland Toffee.
Then they came for the insides of chocolate oranges. And I did not speak up, for I was not a chocolate orange.

I like to think I'm not that old (mid-thirties), but I remember the walnut on the inside and the chocolate being piped. My mum has always loved walnut whips but doesn't like the m&s ones. I definitely managed to get walnut whips in Poundland at Christmas!

And I remember Fry's five centres. For years I thought I'd made them up!

Ah, the Coffee Whip! I remember it well, along withthe coffee Roses chocolate, that went so well with the humble dark chocolate cherry cup.

All lost, now. I blame Brexit, and forriners, and stuff.
