I realise this isn't and AIBU but I have four kids and a dog, DH is away and my bloody washing machine has broken down!

Can anyone recommend a large (at least 10kg) machine with a quick wash? I have to order ASAP, my wash basket is exploding.
To top it off the dog just rolled in fox poo, days like his make me want to go back to workConfused

I came on to say the same thing as Whitecurrants - it's a truly beautiful thing

brands change though. what was reliable is no longer so.

I bought a 10kg 1600 spin Belling machine from AO in the autumn. Love it, simple to use and really quite. I got a good price at the time. Ordered it Sat lunch time. Delivered by breakfast on Sunday morning.

Miele are beyond amazing. Ours works like a Trojan and I actually love it.

Worth all expense, I promise.

Samsung Adwash. Not sure which model ours is other than having a 9kg load. DH selected it. I thought it was a bit of a gimmick. I am forever chucking another couple of items in that I dropped on the stairs or that a child has abandoned somewhere.

Can't spell tonight. AddWash. And there is a model with a 12kg capacity.

another recommendation for AO....my machine is a Hisense....never heard of them, never seen one anywhere else, but it was the cheapest 9kg/most efficient/1400 spin speed they had at the time, and it was on offer for some reason and was delivered next day for free. It has a massive door and is extremely easy to load and unload.

The control panel is a bit faffy, but I have not had a stick of nonsense from it over the last 12 months

Bosch varioperfect WA24390GB

Same here. Good machine and much much quieter than my old one (also a Bosch). The only negative thing is that it bleeps at you when finished. First time I've been nagged by an inamimate object.

Inanimate

Miele - had it for any years, worth every penny. Would only ever buy Miele now.

Loyaultemelie · 22/01/2018 23:01

I love our Samsung Addwash I have the 9kg one although there's a bigger one again. I am always using the wee door for forgotten socks or something and it has a 15 min or 30 min quick wash

Oldraver · 24/01/2018 18:27

I dont know about all Miele models, but with ours you can open the door to add more washing so long as it isnt full of water suds or spinning

Malbecfan · 24/01/2018 19:04

Miele. It's brilliant. I have a holiday cottage next to my house and have to wash all the bedding & towels in it. It does it all. There is a 20 minute wash option too. Definitely worth the money
