Ok it's a Facebook one but can people please stop posting shit like this looking at you dcousin

Actually I know I'm being unreasonable should be posting this on netmums because people can post what they like on their Facebook pages but it's just so urgh

What woe is me ones come up on your Facebook?

And yes I do need it for my business, yes I do unfollow the offenders, yes this is lighthearted etc etc

Urrrgh. I'm with you OP. I'm not even on FB but friends actually send me these kind of things via WhatsApp and post them on Instagram. I just pointedly ignore.

It's so shmaltzy and drippy. What do they want from things like this??

MinorRSole · 03/01/2018 19:27

I've no idea, sympathy/attention? I find the type who post it are exactly the type you don't want to tell your problems to anyway!

My cousin is lovely but very young. She tends to have public fights on Facebook too. I'm sure she will calm down with time and she posts some beautiful photos of her DC's so I can over look the drama

Urgh!

TheDailyMailIsADisgustingRag · 03/01/2018 19:30

@stewpots

I don’t know what I would do if someone WhatsApped memes like that to me! Ok, most likely I’d cringe and delete, but if they were repeat offenders, I’d probably have to ask them to stop it.

I’m so glad I don’t have to be on fb.

RubyGoat · 03/01/2018 19:30

Yuck. This is exactly the reason I barely use Fakebook. It's all so much attention seeking & self-promotion.

Madonnasmum · 03/01/2018 19:30

I'm with you. I'm sure this wasn't Zukerburg expected when he created FB!

FuzzyCustard · 03/01/2018 19:32

Oh poo...I can't see the image. Explanation please.

Fekko · 03/01/2018 19:32

Yikes! Step aside Wordsworth!

RubyGoat · 03/01/2018 19:33

Oh and the chain letter type of things. "Only my real friends will repost this... copy & post, then like my post" etc etc blah blah drivel.

MinorRSole · 03/01/2018 19:34

It's a meme (think that's what they're called) saying something like I'm the girl who is always there for everyone but faces my issues alone or some shit like that

Nobody has to be on Facebook, TheDaily. We choose to be. Nobody has to see this sort of crap either. It’s about who your friends are. Crap/slushy/racist friends lead to crap/slushy/racist posts on your feed. I don’t have a problem.

fairgame84 · 03/01/2018 19:35

Anything that ends with this really bugs me.

^Most people say, "if you need anything, don't hesitate to call me, I'll be there to help you". So, I'm going to make a bet that most who saw this post (maybe even read all the way to the end) won't, but I believe a select few of my friends will post this, to show their support for their family/friend who may be struggling.
You just have to copy (not share) and paste.
I'd like to know who I can count on to take a minute out of their day and actually read my status then write "done" in the comments.^

thelastredwinegum · 03/01/2018 19:36

This is the one popping up on my feed recently
^I've had my moments where I have messed up as a daughter, partner and even as a friend, mostly because I don't always say or do the "right things". I often have my awkward moments, sometimes I have a smart mouth, I definitely have my secrets, and most importantly I have my scars because I have a history. Some people love me, some like me, and some people don't like me. I have done good things in my life but I have made some bad choices too. I go without makeup, or shaving my legs once in awhile. I don't get dressed up all the time, or even most of the time. I am random and I like to be silly more often than not. I worry WAY too much and I feel a responsibility to make the people I love happy. Despite my faults, I cannot and will not ever pretend to be someone I am not. I am who I am, you can love me or not. But if I love you, I will do it with my whole heart, and I will make no apologies for the way I am. I AM ME and that's all I ever will be! 👑
Ladies now I ask you to put this on your status, with a picture of yourself, If you’re proud to be the woman you are today^

MongerTruffle · 03/01/2018 19:36

I got to the first word and was already annoyed.

MammaTJ · 03/01/2018 19:37

I want to shoot to kill delete the people who send the chain messages, more recently with flashing lights wishing me a happy new year and the like!

Oh and attention seekers, vaguebookers!

BrieAndChilli · 03/01/2018 19:37

I’m fed of those posts say ‘these girls will get pregnant this year/deserve a holiday/on Santa’s naughty list etc with a list of random women’s names.
Or the ones that say tag a friend beginning with D they have to buy you a takeaway/take you on holiday etc
Pointless random drivel.

gamerwidow · 03/01/2018 19:38

The irony is these attention seekers disappear pretty quickly if you actually do need help,

MinorRSole · 03/01/2018 19:39

@thelastredwinegum I read it all the way through and it's left me feeling like I need a reward or a nap.

OP posts:
PricklyBall · 03/01/2018 19:39

That's truly vomit worthy.

TheDailyMailIsADisgustingRag · 03/01/2018 19:39

Ugh @brieandchilli, those sound awful, particularly the “these girls will get pregnant this year”. I think I’d vomit if someone tagged me in that. How rude and potentially insensitive/ hurtful.

Notreallyarsed · 03/01/2018 19:39

Girl? Unless the person posting it is under 16 then I’m fairly sure they’d be a woman. And the rest of it is a load of absolute shite too.

Ragusa · 03/01/2018 19:40

I love the contradiction of "faces my issues alone" ^and posting huge out there look at me statements. Would be £50 that the author never faces problems alone but bathers about them to anyone who's just about breathing.

TheDailyMailIsADisgustingRag · 03/01/2018 19:40

X post with my fellow queasy poster Envy (not envy).

Madonnasmum · 03/01/2018 19:41

I don't understand why your not allowed to share, it has to be copied and pasted....

thelastredwinegum · 03/01/2018 19:43
