To wish Soap and Glory giftsets next existed

Every fucking year.

My family do lists and I bought them all presents they had asked for.

In return I have received four fucking Soap and Glory sets. I hate the stuff and they know this; plus I find the 'Boots 3 for 2' stupidly thoughtless.

I know I'm being ungrateful but it just highlights that no one really knows me.

And next Christmas you ignore the lists and get everyone some Boots 3 for 2, while suggesting that it's time to stop buying for adults.

I suffer from psoriasis so every product in my washing/hair/skincare routine is prescription and very specific. I was still getting stuff I couldn't use.

A couple of years ago we all agreed no more adult presents and it has been fantastic. This year I had to buy for DM, DMIL and 6 children including my own and that was it. I got no gifts for Christmas but for me, the reduction in stress is the best gift I could get. Also DH and I have a bit of cash to get ourselves what we need in the sales if we want to.

OP. but it all in a box and pop it in the loft. Bring it down next year and regift the lot. Use the money you will have saved on yourself. You are not grabby - they give you things that show they don't really care.

I like a toiletries gift set

DrKrogersfavouritepatient · 28/12/2017 17:47

But not soap and glory so don’t send it to me

At least it's not Baylis & Harding?
