OP, fingers and paws crossed that the item is returned. And then as someone suggested, it be a lovely idea and perhaps might remove the bitter after taste over the cheeky fuckery if you gift it to a museum or historical organisation that might be relevant. Like it being a ‘ram castrator’ to the in-house collection of the veterinary association or something similar. They will probably be really pleased.
