To be fair to OP, the main reason this has gone to 2 threads is because of everyone placemarking.

And a bare minimum of an update leads to endless questions asking for verbatim reports of conversations anyway.

I don’t blame the OP for not giving the full update. If she just posted “ending, details to follow” the thread would be just as full of people bitching and moaning about it.

It does actually take some people time and concentration to be able to write a coherent reply on the mobile website/app.

Why do people type 'place marking' ?

I've always wondered. Why don't you just click 'watch this thread'. It's been forever that people type placemarking and it's always puzzled me as I've never done it and I've been here 11 years!

I am hoping for resolution and apologies having been made from CF!

I’m not a troll hunter either, I’d love this to be real. I’ve followed every thread, fully invested. Nor am I smug - what is there to be smug about? I’m just saying I‘ve had good value from it whatever the outcome. Why so cross?

On the mobile site you can use the bookmark feature, which works far better than 'watching' as it takes you to the last post that you read.
