To think there's no such thing as a nice nighty?

PJ bottoms irritate the fuck out of me in bed, up my arse crack, twisting round and rolling up. Tried cheap ones, fancy ones, tapered legs, open legs and shorts. Plus worn regularly give me awful thrush.

I've been wearing a pH top or t shirt to bed but I want something longer, that covers my bum.

I can't find a nice, comfortable nighty. Everything either looks like something my grandmother would wear or is a silky/ polyester sexy thing.

I want a nice, comfortable, none cutesy, non grandma nighty.

AIBU?

Can’t you just wear an oversized tshirt? I like wearing DP’s tshirts to bed and DP thinks it looks sexy Blush

Needadvicetoleave · 08/11/2017 23:00

Not long enough unfortunately.

Big granny pants and a t shirt? When you get up put your pj bottoms on.

Pollypudding · 08/11/2017 23:01

Just go for comfort and forget how you look!

NamasteNiki · 08/11/2017 23:02

this

Longer than a tshirt, not cutesy.

Nighties do and will always ride up though.

Keepthebloodynoisedown · 08/11/2017 23:02

I’ve got a couple from Victoria secret that are basically like really long tshirts, they come down to mid thigh on me (but I am quite short.

BillywigSting · 08/11/2017 23:04

Slouchy t shirt and big knickers for me, pj pants (and dressing gown) when I get up before I get dressed

OwlinaTree · 08/11/2017 23:04

this is cute

Needadvicetoleave · 08/11/2017 23:05

I was looking for a nightie recently and saw some nice ones on La Redoute.

DayManChampionOfTheSun · 08/11/2017 23:07

Primark do long cotton tshirts for bed. They are all a bit slogany but some are cool. I have a Star Wars one. Only about a tenner if I remember correctly too

I like that owlina.

I'll take a look in Victoria secret noise.

I get up several times in the night and don't really want to be having to get on bottoms on and off each time.

TK Max usually has oversized night shirts / non-granny nighties. I’m a total convert. I wear them with leggings in the evenings then bare legs overnight, and love that I can walk past windows without scaring my neighbours!

furryelephant · 08/11/2017 23:08

Forever 21! Cheap but lasted me well

Slartybartfast · 08/11/2017 23:09

I have cotton nighties, they cover my bum, from peacocks, for one

sadiemm2 · 08/11/2017 23:10

I wear long t-shirt dresses from Asos.... Although often with long jogns, as I am cold at night

Needadvicetoleave · 08/11/2017 23:10

Thanks. Some helpful ones on here. I'd looked in m&s and they were really grannyish. And primark were all thin straps, but it may have been as I was looking in summer.

TK Maxx often have nighties by Cynthia Rowley and they are my absolute favourite - soft jersey material but nice detailing (not 'slinky' but attractive)

Battleax · 08/11/2017 23:11

Whenever I see maxi length vest style nightdresses in a decent fabric, I grab two. They're the only truly comfortable shape.

Im not sure if there are many about ATM.

TheFairyCaravan · 08/11/2017 23:12

next

short sleeved

ijustwannadance · 08/11/2017 23:13

Matalan. Basic, cotton, cheap.

TheFairyCaravan · 08/11/2017 23:15

This one is long. There's a few the same length on the Matalan website

Ollivander84 · 08/11/2017 23:15

I have a couple of Victoria's Secret ones as already mentioned
