CFN patio doors, sangria, ken from the shop update

Hello all, most of you probably won’t know what I’m on about but for those of you that do, I feel that I owe you an explanation. A friend alerted me to a few threads where I’d been called a troll etc.

I’ve been through a very long process with NDN about the doors (which I had been told were going to be replaced/ wall reinstated etc)

I had also been told by my lawyer that all was fine.

The planning dept have been on my side, as per all previous threads.

This all seemed to be going ahead until I returned home to find half of my flat wall caved in.

I had to move out to stay with a friend. The whole thing has been a total nightmare and it is still not resolved. My wall has been partially fixed, the patio doors remain and no one has seen hide nor hair of NDN or the builders for months.

My flat is now uninhabitable for the foreseeable and there are legal implications, planning laws and listed building laws which all have to be agreed and adhered to before anything will be done, apparently.

This may be terribly outing but I am beyond caring. I was told not to post on here, however, the advice I received was second to none and so I thank you all for that.

My grandma has been unwell so I have been back and forth to Spain, seems like all is against me!

Sorry I disappeared for so long, but you can imagine how awful it has been, I’m in a better place now, so thought it was time to come back and let you know that I’m not some fantasist making up stories about doors 😂

Hope to see some familiar names on the thread!

Blimey OP, that’s just awful. At what point does it become a criminal matter? Does your solicitor have any advice re finding the owners?

SchadenfreudePersonified · 28/10/2017 08:51

@KichenDancefloor

"CFN The Musical"

Now there's a thought!

There is certainly enough talent on this forum to compose songs, choreograph dance routines, deign costumes and suggest how to include Penguin Bollards and Sylvanian Families to best dramatic effect.

Meanwhile I have heard that Vlad and Vanka are sharpening their Russian Army Knives* and preparing have a Quiet Word with any Cheeky Fuckers . . .

*Not unlike the famous Swiss Army Knife, the Russian army Knife has a 10" double-edged full tang blade (serrated on one side) with integral blood groove, a stainless steel vodka-bottle opener, a small tool for scraping dissidents out of tank tracks, a nail file, and, of course, a beetroot preparation tool. A new model is in production even as we speak, which also incorporates a small (individual) paella pan.

Stillonthatbloodycomputer · 28/10/2017 08:51

Oh Whaaty, I like many others on here thought it would be sometime before we heard back from you as things would be progressing . So many of us have been waiting for the good news update and never expected this in a million years..........just when you think it's safe to go back in the water !!!!!!! As for those with nothing better to do on this forum other spout venom, weeel , I think you know you've the support of the huge majority and those naysayers should be dismissed without further thought . Best of luck to you and Gran

Rudedog · 28/10/2017 08:58

Confused unbelievable- I can't believe CFN have disappeared too

SchadenfreudePersonified · 28/10/2017 08:58

Wattyyyy - Know that this is awful for you. I can only begin to imagine what it must be like to be pushed out of your much-loved home in such a horrible and deliberate way.

Although I don't think any of us want to makeweight of it, if the sort of support that we were able to give earlier is of any use now, then I'm sure that we will all oblige.

It's terrible that it's come to this. Like others I was hoping that one day you would update with "All is well, Damage repaired, CFNs in jail, new neighbour installed, Ken from The Shop keeping well" etc. I don't think any of us ever imagined that the structural damage would be so bad and the repercussions so extensive and long-lasting.

Thinking of you and SpanGran. Flowers

SchadenfreudePersonified · 28/10/2017 08:59

*make light, not makeweight

FFS, AUTOCORRECT! Angry

Vango · 28/10/2017 09:02

I thought that was some kind of 'olde' English Schadenfreude. Was momentarily impressed and ready to adopt.

CigarsofthePharoahs · 28/10/2017 09:06

Sorry to hear what's been happening op. I lurked on your threads and really did hope things were getting sorted.
I wish I could offer something more than virtual Flowers

SchadenfreudePersonified · 28/10/2017 09:07

I am touched by your faith in my linguistic skills Vango Grin

AdalindSchade · 28/10/2017 09:11

Your thread popped in to my head yesterday too! Weird. Where are you living now then? What a disaster

OnlyToday · 28/10/2017 09:14

.

Summerisdone · 28/10/2017 09:15

Bloody hell Watt, I was really surprised and quite gutted when a PP last night said you had been caught out as a troll.
Now for your sake I almost wish they'd been correct, it really seems like you've had an awful few months of crap after crap.

I hope things all start getting sorted for you soon. All of this shit for you because some CFN wanted some patio bloody doors Angry

Also, I really hope SpanGran gets better soon Flowers

BuggerOffAndGoodDayToYou · 28/10/2017 09:17

Good to see you Watty but definitely not good to read that update! I think way back on the original thread someone joked about the CFNs taking down the wall to take over your flat as well as your garden....

You poor thing, I really hope karma bites the CFNs

Hope SpanGran is back to her usual self and making vats of sangria soon xx

MyOtherProfile · 28/10/2017 09:21

Oh no! I've often thought about your post and just assumed silence meant it was all sorted! What a ñightmare.

MyOtherProfile · 28/10/2017 09:22

No idea why i got a tilda on nightmare back there... must have been a subconscious nod to SpanGran!

picklemepopcorn · 28/10/2017 09:23

Sorry to hear about SpanGran and the wall. Hopefully all will be resolved and covered by insurance etc, and won’t take forever.

It must be really upsetting. It started out as an outrage, and has turned into a real burden because you can’t keep up the anger for long enough to protect you.

justilou1 · 28/10/2017 09:23

OH NO! Watty! I'm so sorry! I just assumed it was sorted!!! Those guys are malicious a-holes!

outedmyselfagain · 28/10/2017 09:37

I was on the original threads too. I had been quietly hoping that this had all resolved itself and they’d patched up the wall and you and your friend were able to build dens under that lovely bench she bought and have sleepovers in the garden whilst waiting for a return visit from spangran.

I hope things start to resolve soon and am pleased to hear Spangran is on the mend.

Shadow666 · 28/10/2017 09:59

What a nightmare! Thanks for updating. I hope it’s sorted soon!

Anatidae · 28/10/2017 10:06

How awful. Inconsiderate bastards. Hope planning and insurance come through for you. Best wishes to your grandma- hopefully all this will get sorted and by next you, her and ken can be having some rocket fuel sangria and all this will be a distant memory.

AwakeCantSleep · 28/10/2017 10:11

Oh how bloody awful Watty. Are you keeping a spreadsheet of all your expenses, ready to sue the shit out CFN/CFB? Obviously adding in a generous amount for loss of privacy and emotional distress. Get yourself a shit hot litigation lawyer.

No idea how you are keeping calm in the midst of all this Watty. Have you considered taking up archery? It’s very “Zen” and calming, and has the added benefit that you can pin a picture of CFB/CFN to the target disk Smile

Wishing SpanGran a speedy recovery Flowers

Kezzamo · 28/10/2017 10:46

Ahh whatty so good to hear from you!

Sore things aren't better. I was thinking it was all back to normal by now.

Love to span gran. Hope she's beck to making sangria really soon.

Thingvellir · 28/10/2017 11:07

Gosh Whatis - how awful for you, I’m really sorry to see this update as had assumed it was all sorted by the planning people who seemed so efficient at the start.

I watched your posts from the start but drifted off when all the flag posting, poems and daily breakfast stuff took over. So sad to see that things got worse for you and that your CFN is an utter twat.

I hope it works out for you and that you continue to get constructive advice from the thread

Waddlelikeapenguin · 28/10/2017 11:23

Oh no! I'm so sorry things have got worse. I also assumed we hadnt heard from you because the legal wheels were grinding slowly but effectively.

Much sangria to SpanGran I am glad she's on the mend WineFlowers

I cant believe the amount of damage caused by one set of idiots Angry

StellaHeyStella · 28/10/2017 11:46

I was on the original threads too but name changed since then.

I’d assumed all was ok by now Watty and envisaged you and SpanGran sipping sangria together of an evening in your (private) garden.

I’m sorry to hear this is not the case and that things have got worse for you. I also send warm wishes for SpanGrans and wish her well, she is a legend.
