It's constant and pissing me right off every time I try to look on here.

Laiste · 23/10/2017 17:18

Thanks who. It's not just me!

There's nothing to click on. It just sits there with a whirly circle. EVERY PAGE.

poorbuthappy · 23/10/2017 17:19

Is it because we are running adblock? Well I am...

HelenaDove · 23/10/2017 17:19

Ive got it too.

Laiste · 23/10/2017 17:21

Yes, i've got ad block ....

OP posts:
Laiste · 23/10/2017 17:22

UBlock as well.

OP posts:
64BooLane · 23/10/2017 17:23

I have it, but mine whirls for a moment and then vanishes.

Laiste · 23/10/2017 17:26

It's there for long enough for me to try to scroll down further than usual so that i can see the thread. Then it goes away. Then it's back if i refresh or click a different thread.

What's the bloody point of it if you can't click it and do whatever it demands if it gets rid of it something.

OP posts:
SilverSpot · 23/10/2017 17:31

I'm not ruining add block and it was stopping me from using the forum - couldn;t bloody click on anything at the top of the screen

Laiste · 23/10/2017 17:44

Aha! So it's not because of adblock ...

OP posts:
Laiste · 23/10/2017 17:45

I'll report myself i think. at MN HQ :)

OP posts:
araiwa · 23/10/2017 17:47

its because of adblock or similar

if you whitelist mumsnet then it will stop blocking ads and you can enjoy all the ads on mumsnet

FurryDogMother · 23/10/2017 17:50

I'm running adblock and don't have this problem...

GladAllOver · 23/10/2017 17:51

Well it doesn't prevent every method of blocking ads. :)

FurryDogMother · 23/10/2017 17:51

Spoke too soon - yep, I have it now, but it's small, and at the top of the page, so I didn't notice until I looked, if you see what I mean...

araiwa · 23/10/2017 17:52

it lasts for a second or two for me

still, better than ads

Laiste · 23/10/2017 17:53

Reported. Myself i mean :)

There's quite a lot of stuff already, some ad's, to be fair. Down the left side. Detol at the mo. Blog ads ect. How many more stuff would arrive if i whitelist MN?!

I feel the loading whirly circle is slowing my laptop down. It's sort of jerky till it disappears.

OP posts:
Laiste · 23/10/2017 17:54

RIGHT side! Sorry. Struggle with left and right.

OP posts:
WorraLiberty · 23/10/2017 17:54

I'm using Adblock and the spinny thing is annoying the hell out of me too.

I'm trying not to look at it because it makes me feel dizzy.

But the MN ads were slowing the pages down so much, there's no way I'm going to stop adblocking.

araiwa · 23/10/2017 17:55

i have 0 ads

it freaks me out when i use a computer without adblocker theses days due to the number of ads. ads slow down everything as they always load first

StatueInTheSky · 23/10/2017 17:56

i just this second noticed this...

the only thing this will do it make me use MN LESS, not allow a million and one superfluous shitey ads that take a million minutes to load on my page....some of us have to make o with a very very bad internet speed...I LONG for the 2 whatevers they are supposed to be.

OrlandoMusc · 23/10/2017 17:57

I block the ads because like Worra, I found they slowed the page down. THEN they started expanding over the whole page when I hadn't touched them.

I enough ads in their sponsored content, Dettol, Aunt Bessie, that fucking nit book, which was £7 or some such to tell you to use a nitty gritty.

SaskiaRembrandtWasFramed · 23/10/2017 17:58

I'm seeing it too, and I don't have Adblock on this browser.

Laiste · 23/10/2017 18:00

Agree with all. SO many ad's.

I have the yahoo Mail Hide Ad add on as well. And Disconnect.

tealady · 23/10/2017 18:01

Very very annoying and just makes me want to look at Mumsnet less rather than being bullied into seeing annoying ads
