.....You may think that abortion is "morally indefensible", and that
"Life is sacrosanct and begins at the point of conception", even in cases or rape or incest.

You can have an opinion on this when you have a uterus, have been raped or have been abused yourself. You can never know why individual women make this heartbreaking decision. You are supposed to represent the public. Keep your insulting, patronising opinions to yourself.

Yours sincerely,
Women of the world

Well said.

TheFaerieQueene · 06/09/2017 11:18

Well said OP

JeffreySadsacIsUnwell · 06/09/2017 11:19

Indeed. However, his opinion is entirely in keeping with the times that he lives in... Two centuries ago.

QueenLaBeefah · 06/09/2017 11:19

His views on gay marriage are horrific too.

Albertschair · 06/09/2017 11:19

Not all terminations are heart breaking.

I agree with the rest/ gist of your post

Mrskeats · 06/09/2017 11:20

He's happy for loads of children to be born so they can be kept in poverty by this government.
I fully agree with you. But then I knew he was an idiot of epic proportions.

Circumlocutor · 06/09/2017 11:21

I bet there are 'omg JRM is so funny' people who are surprised by his views. No, he's not just the charming relic who gets wheeled out on Have I Got New For You.

2014newme · 06/09/2017 11:21

I agree with you but he's as entitled to his opinion as anyone else.

I hope he takes over from Theresa it would be great for labour

cowgirlsareforever · 06/09/2017 11:22

There's every chance this man will become PM. Labour have a proper socialist leader and the Tories now want a 'proper Conservative.'
It makes me very worried that in the future, women may have to go through with pregnancies resulting from rape and incest because they offend the Catholic beliefs of Jacob Rees-Mogg.

WhoresDoeuvres · 06/09/2017 11:23

He's a tory snake. People like him because he's posh, eccentric and appears on TV panel shows, but he has some abhorrent views.

cowgirlsareforever · 06/09/2017 11:23

Being funny on Have I Got News For You did wonders for Boris Johnson's career. There is every chance the same will happen to Jacob Rees-Mogg.

2014newme · 06/09/2017 11:23

Jacob's says he likes criticising from the side and does not want a minister role.

OnionKnight · 06/09/2017 11:24

He's a cunt.

Hollyhop17 · 06/09/2017 11:25

His views on everything are vile. He has 6 children but happily proclaimed in an interview that he has never changed a nappy. Odious, odious man.

feebeemee · 06/09/2017 11:28

Well said OP.

Ta1kinPeece · 06/09/2017 11:28

Jacob Rees Mogg wants to screw over the whole country.

GiveMeTheTeaAndNobodyGetsHurt · 06/09/2017 11:29

It's always been clear that he is a pompous, out-of-touch, arrogant little twerp, but I truly hated him from the moment he said that Nigel Farage was 'a good egg' (I think it was on HIGNFY). No, Jacob, you clueless little prat, he is not a good egg; he is the kind of egg that if I found it lurking at the back of my fridge I would want to dispose of it with the aid of a pair of extra-long tongs and a hazmat suit. He is a bad bad egg, as are you.
I feel better for having got that off my chest!

GrockleBocs · 06/09/2017 11:32

Is he Catholic? With his views on gay marriage and abortion, what does he think about contraception?

Pigface1 · 06/09/2017 11:33

Abhorrent individual.

It's funny how those opposed to abortion also tend to be bitterly opposed to the welfare state. You'd think they'd see the contradiction inherent in that. It's almost as though their real motivation is to punish women for daring to have sex.

burninghigh · 06/09/2017 11:34

Actually he is perfectly entitled to his opinion. We don't live in a country where only the majority are entitled to their opinion. And I say this as someone who has unfortunately had 2 terminations.

His opinion is no less valid than mine.

Circumlocutor · 06/09/2017 11:34

There's every chance this man will become PM. Labour have a proper socialist leader and the Tories now want a 'proper Conservative.

I'd bet many 'proper Conservatives' would hate the idea of having a Catholic as their leader. And the moderate Tories know he'd hardly win their party many new fans.

Circumlocutor · 06/09/2017 11:35

what does he think about contraception?

Well he's got six kids...

MoiraRosesMeltdown · 06/09/2017 11:35

GrockleBocs Maybe his views on contraception will become clear with the birth of Sevenus and Eightus.

Knottyash5 · 06/09/2017 11:36

I don't think men are entitled to have an opinion on abortion. Women should have total autonomy over their bodies.

As for gay marriage, well it's on the statute books and I don't think it would ever be possible to make it unlawful again.

He must be popular with the DUP though, maybe he should go to live in NI?

I agree he's an out of touch twerp. But a dangerous one.

Flippetydip · 06/09/2017 11:37

Yes, but to be fair burninghigh you're not being paid to represent the British public (unless you are, in which case I apologise).
