Did someone ask about a gift list for a baby shower?

GeillisTheWitch · 15/08/2017 22:16

It's a cauldron of hate, waiting at the school gate! That's a tenuous link to a song...

Gingernaut · 15/08/2017 22:18

mumsnet is the online equivalent of football hooligans going at it.

Who are ya? Who are ya? Who are ya?

SleepFreeZone · 15/08/2017 22:19

It is terrifying looking in, but once you're in it's fine 😎

histinyhandsarefrozen · 15/08/2017 22:19

I think they're right. I find so many posters arsey these days. The amusing ones seem to have left.

I think new tag line should be: mumsnet 'for sneery parents to kick struggling parents'.

Noideawhatelseicando · 15/08/2017 22:19

I read that one, she was ungrateful and superficial as the 'diamond wasn't big enough for her' her own words. She just didn't like the truth that everyone gave.

PantPlot · 15/08/2017 22:20

I prefer Stockpot of Evil.

iver · 15/08/2017 22:21

slow cooker of spite?

'Judge, all ye who enter here'

My favourite is when someone's got real difficult stuff going on and loads of posters pile in to humiliate them about their poor syntax.

histinyhandsarefrozen · 15/08/2017 22:22

'No spellcheck, no support"

EdithWeston · 15/08/2017 22:22

Fillet of a fenny snake, in the cauldron boil and bake....

(ok, I know that's really eels, but it was the nearest I could bet to a coven of vipers with cauldron)

PantPlot · 15/08/2017 22:23

Le Creuset Casserole of Cruelty

UrsulaPandress · 15/08/2017 22:23

Not liking that comma.

TisapityshesaGeordie · 15/08/2017 22:24

These days it's more like a nest of angry wasps. Angry, resentful wasps who bear grudges.

Instapot of insecurity...

squoosh · 15/08/2017 22:25

I'm not sure if it's a 'cauldron of hate' but it seems to becoming more and more like a cauldron of 'I'm going to put you in your place with a sharp put down even if even if it's a thread on a totally innocuous subject and/or even if you sound a bit vulnerable in your opening post'.

elephantoverthehill · 15/08/2017 22:25

Well all I can say is good. They ought to be in awe of women who can stand up for themselves and ask for help when needed.

histinyhandsarefrozen · 15/08/2017 22:27

To troubled souls, they used to say 'this too shall pass' (?)
Now they say, "don't let the door hit you on the arse"
