Tesco Delivery Lurch

Yes I have the same issues. If it is a man i recognise from previous deliveries I would be inclined to ask to drop off in kitchen.

Usually though I have it dropped just inside doorway then they cannot get past! Although I then have to bend over/down to stack it on floor.

Several times I have had lewd comments like "nice legs" or staring st cleavage. We have a photo of family in doorway and once someone said "fuck me you scrub up well" I was so shocked i just smiled and said thank you. Next time I answered in my dressing gown which is full length up to collar! and husband loitering near door!

Makes me feel stupid to feel unsafe to allow them into home to place in kitchen. I am on my own normally when they come so just don't feel safe to do so.

You wouldn't normally let a stranger in your home when alone, so what difference if he is carrying your shopping!

Your title and post both make no sense.

Hercules12 · 11/08/2017 16:17

Please report these comments to their managers.

10greenapples · 11/08/2017 16:18

I only ever take shopping at the door as I don't like people I don't know in my house if it can be avoided. Report him for his comments.

SquatBetty · 11/08/2017 16:18

I don't understand this post? Are you saying you've had Tesco delivery drivers making inappropriate comments to you? They need immediately reporting to Tesco if so!

sparechange · 11/08/2017 16:22

Maybe switch to Ocado then

I've been using them pretty much weekly for about 10 years and I've never had any sort of comment from them, unless you count the time they called my dog 'lovely' (she is though)

TheMogget · 11/08/2017 16:25

Report them, entirely inappropriate. I always get my shopping dropped at the front door. Is it because you are having it delivered without bags? I always used to have my reusable bags ready and then I could just chuck the shopping in those and carry through.
If you switch to Ocado, they deliver in bags (charge you 5p a go) and when you return them them refund you the 5ps...

MrsEzekiel · 11/08/2017 16:25

Struggling to understand you tbh

Redglitter · 11/08/2017 16:25

Agree with pp your post is quite confusing.

If you've had inappropriate comments made report it.

I couldn't fault out Tesco guys they're lovely. Take my shopping right into the kitchen and are lovely and friendly and polite.

ColdTattyWaitingForSummer · 11/08/2017 16:28

If they are making lewd comments then you definitely need to report them to tesco!! That's totally inappropriate. I guess I've just been lucky that the guys I've had (and I get a delivery from there most weeks) have always been kind, professional, and never made me feel uncomfortable.

PurpleMinionMummy · 11/08/2017 16:29

Oh. That's a shame. All the drivers I've had over the years have never made lewd comments. Have you reported them?

I don't invite them in either. But if i did its no different to the meter reader/plumber etc.

RhubardGin · 11/08/2017 16:30

I have my shopping delivered by Tesco every weekend and have never experience this with any delivery driver. They are always polite and helpful.

If you have experienced this on many occasions why have you not contacted Tesco to complain?

Your post is rather confusing though, is English your first language OP?

SheSaidHeSaid · 11/08/2017 16:31

I don't understand half your post. But from the bits I did understand it sounds like one or more than one tesco delivery drivers male comments. In which case either report to Tesco or change supermarket supplier.

SheSaidHeSaid · 11/08/2017 16:31

Make comments*

I thought this was going to be one of those 'my shopping hasn't turned up, they've taken my money and there's no food in the house' posts but a different issue entirely it seems.

IdentifiesAsASloth · 11/08/2017 16:32

That's so weird. Our Tesco delivery people are always so friendly and polite. Definitely complain to Tesco, their customer service is really good.

TheMogget · 11/08/2017 16:32

Actually one of the Tesco delivery drivers we used to have frequently commented on my lovely pussy... but I'm pretty sure it was the ginger feline having a nosey as to what was going on. Grin

TmiTuesdays · 11/08/2017 16:33

Your post sounds like you're responding to another poster-is that what you meant to do?

SillyLittleBiscuit · 11/08/2017 16:34

I had a fairly long conversation with one Tesco driver about the education system in Trinidad and Tobago. As interesting as it was I really wanted to unpack my shopping.

Definitely report anything untoward. Can't imagine Tesco not taking it seriously.

Brittbugs80 · 11/08/2017 16:35

So they actually said "nice legs" and "fuck me you scrub up well"

Ok.

Report them to Tesco and they will be dealt with I'm sure. If not, stop using Tesco.

pinkblink · 11/08/2017 16:39

Have you mentioned it to the store? Believe it or not most managers would prefer to get rid of somebody than have staff upsetting customers 😏 which leads to them slating the store online, which puts some people off and sends them to other shops

Saucery · 11/08/2017 16:41

That sounds very unusual. I would Report rather than cover up and dread a delivery.

WindyWednesday · 11/08/2017 16:43

Actually I stopped using Tesco as I had the same from their drivers. Really creepy men.

TheSnowFairy · 11/08/2017 16:44

I have my shopping delivered by Tesco every weekend and have never experienced this with any delivery driver. They are always polite and helpful.

This ^^.

chocolateworshipper · 11/08/2017 16:45

I have never had anything like that from a Tesco delivery driver, and would report them immediately if I did.

However, I do still prefer to have the shopping on the doorstep rather than invite a stranger into my home. Most drivers will hold one crate at a time whilst I unload. I do pay the 40p to have the shopping in bags - which does of course make it quicker to take the shopping out of the crates. I then donate the bags to the charity shop, who are extremely grateful as they rarely get donations of plastic bags any more.
