Tesco Delivery Lurch

Yes I have the same issues. If it is a man i recognise from previous deliveries I would be inclined to ask to drop off in kitchen.

Usually though I have it dropped just inside doorway then they cannot get past! Although I then have to bend over/down to stack it on floor.

Several times I have had lewd comments like "nice legs" or staring st cleavage. We have a photo of family in doorway and once someone said "fuck me you scrub up well" I was so shocked i just smiled and said thank you. Next time I answered in my dressing gown which is full length up to collar! and husband loitering near door!

Makes me feel stupid to feel unsafe to allow them into home to place in kitchen. I am on my own normally when they come so just don't feel safe to do so.

You wouldn't normally let a stranger in your home when alone, so what difference if he is carrying your shopping!

*You reported him and he has been moved areas? Already? Since this afternoon? Wonder how the personnel managed to schedule a meeting with him and a union rep to discus the complaint and send out a letter so quickly.

Also it would be gross misconduct and he would be sacked not moved if he was found guilty*

Yup, something smells fishy here Hmm

All mine have been nice as pie. They always come into my kitchen. I suppose having my youngest son helping me unload it all helps but I've never had any kind of 'off' comments. They are all lovely round here.

Hunkle · 12/08/2017 08:23

Mine are polite & helpful.

They stand at the door & I take the crate from them.

I unpack as they go to the van for another crate.

I use Tesco home delivery and have never had any inappropriate comments or behaviour. I am the kind of person who does get those comments in other situations btw.

maddiemookins16mum · 12/08/2017 08:53

I've never experienced any delivery chap in several years say anything of this nature. They sometimes chuckle at my massive boxes of cat food, the cat's ok then!,sort of thing.
All sounds rather odd.

Letitrain · 12/08/2017 08:56

Never had any problems. Very polite men and women who deliver stuff here.

KimchiLaLa · 12/08/2017 10:56

I never get the same driver twice and usually get deliveries at the same time.

MyOtherProfile · 12/08/2017 11:00

I always ask them to put everything in the kitchen. I also go for the 40p extra delivery in carrier bags as it's easier to empty out and I use the bags for bin liners then.
I usually get a delivery when the house is full of people so sometimes one of my kids opens the door. And I would never open the door in a dressing gown.

Lest anyone should assume you are a munter Grin

Rhayader · 12/08/2017 12:32

I have been having tesco deliveries for 8 years and i've never experienced anything like this.

Liiinoo · 12/08/2017 12:36

I've been using Tesco home delivery for over 10 years. They are always polite and usually friendly and helpful too.

DeleteOrDecay · 12/08/2017 12:44

We use Tesco delivery and have never experienced this how ever if you have then this is very serious and should be reported to the store as comments like that are inappropriate.

Not entirely sure where this thread is going but fwiw I never let the delivery man/woman actually in the house, I always ask them to drop it at the door then I grab and chuck it into the living room (I get it delivered in bags) I do this partly because I don't like having strangers in the house and partly because I'm embarrassed at the state of my house Blush and I'm worried the delivery person will end up falling or tripping over one of the dc's toys which will inevitably be left in the middle of the living room floor.
